訪問看護を初めて一か月になりました。
今までは同行させてもらってフォロー付きが主でしたが、これからはバンバン一人で訪問することが多くなるので頑張らんとね。
先輩方の手を離れると、いろいろな壁にぶつかるのでしょうな～。
といいつつ、すでに壁を見つけておりますね。
越えていきたいね～。
まだまだ病院勤めの影響もあって、やっぱり身体の状態観察や異常の発見の方にばかり視点が傾きがち。
これっていいのかな～大丈夫なんかな～と事細かく考えてしまってますね。
知ってます、ウチ、頭固いんですよねーー。
看護を展開する場は「生活」…。
その人の生活や人生観に合わせた介入を柔軟に考えていきたいね～。
難しい。
そもそも今視野もせまくなってるので、「こんなん当たり前やん？！」ってことができてなかったりしてて、自分でもびっくりショックということも。
ま～、予測はしてました。ぼちぼち頑張ろう。

訪問看護への興味は低下なしです（＾ ＾）
今日は仕事をお休みして先日の研修の続きにいってきました。
在宅看護の緩和ケアにおける症状マネジメントです。
前の職場でも耳鼻科のがん患者さんがよく疼痛コントロールで麻薬を使用していたし、疼痛コントロールのところは特に興味がありました。
病棟薬剤師さんに甘えて、なかなかモルヒネ換算をして麻薬の種類や量の調節をじっくり考えるってことをしかったので、弱いところだったんですね…。
これはいいチャンス。
今まで知らなかったことや整理がつかなかったことが明確になってすごく勉強になりました。
まる一日の研修でしたが居眠りをこくこともなく、充実した勉強ができました。
頑張りました。
I like cooking and I think I am rather good at it. But it was something I learned to do out of need instead of desire. My parents got divorced in my early teens which forced my mother to take on three jobs to raise myself, my brother, and my sister. Which often meant I had to prepare meals for my siblings. Unfortunately, they were the victims of my many failed experiments.. Thankfully no one ever got sick and I ended up becoming a decent cook. 🙂
今日、雪がちらつき、やっと冬らしい天気が戻り、しばらく手つかずにしていたアップリケをやる気分になりました。
ホノルル在住中のある日、カイムキで運良くも機織り教室の生徒となり機織りの基礎から習う事が出来ました。運良くと言ったのは、その機織り教室は一 年足らずで廃校となったからで、教室の存在さえご存知でなかった方が多いのではないでしょうか。ともあれ、本土に移る事になった際、長く暗い冬は機織りな どをして過ごそうと、想像をめぐらせたのですが、現実には、本土の冬はいたって明るく、冬中屋内に籠って機織りを、は全くの夢に終わり、ハワイから持ち運 んだ機織り機も他人にゆずってしまいました。
大きな機織り機を使っての機織りはやりませんが、小型の器具を使っての布織りには興味があります。
アップリケやキルトも布が使い方によって姿を変えるところが面白く、まるでパズルを解いているようです。
1ヶ月前から計画を立てていた誕生日の近い3人のサプライズパーティー。
大勢で楽しく祝いました。
そしてサプライズにサプライズを準備してくるとは、さすがな3人です。
こちらも驚いて感動してしまいました。
みんなが一品ずつ料理を持ち寄ってわいわい食べました。
私はコロッケ担当（＾ ＾）
おいしいと言って食べてくれてたので嬉しかったです。
作る過程はぶっちゃけ面倒くさいけど、手慣れてきて得意料理になりました（￣▽￣）ｖイエーイ
3人のイラストも描きました。
これを機に新たな手法にチャレンジしました。
ポスターカラーとクレヨンで描くイラスト。
色鉛筆とはまた違った味になるし、でっかい絵を勢いよく描きたいときにいいかも。
こちらも喜んでくれて嬉しかったです。
頑張った甲斐がありましたー。
サプライズして、おしゃべりしながらご馳走食べて、ケーキ食べて、オリジナル人生ゲームして…。
みんなが笑って楽しんでよいパーティーでした。
Last week we were able to send a whole truck full of food to Mexico. I am not sure how we even had enough but it was pretty neat. Our Kansas weather has ben pretty crazy this year. The temperatures will be normal for 2 or 3 days then will have a real cold one then warm up to above average temps, and so on.
We are still tired from the holidays. We try not to do anything if we don’t have to in January. Better go for now. Take care.

Of course, usually I would write about my life. However, something came to my attention that was far more interesting regarding Japan. As I was reading the news, I discovered a strange article that really brightened my day. In other words, I laughed really hard! Recently, in Osaka, a department store had an end of year sale. That would be fine and completely ordinary except that the sale was advertised by using the F word on all of their signs in English! So many people saw the signs on the internet that the store was very embarrassed, issued an official apology, and changed the signs. Apparently, a shortened version of “fukubukuro,” or “lucky bags,” which are end of year sales grab bags, can be spelled, well, the same as the F word. I feel badly that the store thought people around the world were offended. Actually, it was quite humorous. I hope that the store sells everything
Unfortunately, I forgot the last episode of this show was airing tonight or I would’ve reminded a few earlier. I’m watching it now but quite a few people opted not to (just weren’t quite ready). We were over there the week this was being done and talked to a few volunteers. Prertty amazing. Still a lot of emotional attachment. I hope some of you are able to watch this even though it doesn’t begin to explain what you see or feel having gone through it or even for those of us living close by. Keep Joplin in your prayers. Steve and I hope to buy a brick from the Joplin Highschool. God bless each and everyone of you.

Hello everybody.
It has been some time since I last post. I’ve just been so busy with work and school. I moved from Honolulu to Key West, FL. I’m getting use to it here now, but only after 6 months. I really miss Hawaii, mostly because it was easy to meet people. Looks like I’ll be here for another 3 years. Hopefully I can make it back to Honolulu.
