亡き義母トミさんが作った七宝焼です。そろそろ私に似合う歳になりました。トミさんは大正時代に良き女学校生活を過ごし、結婚後、８０年ほど前に夫婦で会社を創業し、人間力ある社交性で信頼を得ました。京都では私はトミさんにピアノを教えたりよく一緒に外出したりしました。この七宝焼のように渋く斬新な内面がありました。「溜まり水は腐るえ」と言っていたことを思い出します。これは人生の戒めですね。（美智子） This is cloisonne work made by my late mother-in-law, Tomi-san. 多くの女性はネイルアートを楽しんでいます。でも私はネイルをしたことがありません。理由は２つ。ヴァイオリンを弾くので少しでも爪が伸びたらすぐに切る癖になっていること。２つ目はペンキ類や煙のような強い臭いは喘息症状が出ること。私はピンキーリングが好き。私にとってジュエリーは、人に見せる為というより自分の気分が楽しくなる小道具の一つです。（美智子） Many women enjoy nail art. 巻きつる（ケーブルテンプル）は福井県の鯖江職人さんの手作りです。耳に巻き付くようなメガネフレーム。製作出来る職人さんの数が減っているそうです。長年使用しましたが、今ではサングラスレンズに交換して活用しています。ビートルズのジョンさんも丸メガネでしたね。（美智子） The cable temples are handmade by craftsmen in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture in Japan.
