台風接近で午後は大雨予報。来週は健康診断。体重を１キロ減らしたいので、おうちバドミントンをしています。ひとりバドミントン。（美智子） Heavy rain is forecast for this afternoon as a typhoon approaches. I have a health checkup next week, and since I want to lose one kilogram, I’ve been playing badminton at home—solo badminton. (Michiko) ナコス湘南

股関節への負担軽減の為、あまり重いものは持たないようにと整形外科医から助言を受けています。左の派手目なヴァイオリンケースは軽く丈夫で持ちやすい、右の四角いケースはガーンと頑丈です。今ではこの重量の差がひしひしと身体にこたえます。これまで数十年間、ヴァイオリンケースを幾つか買い換えましたが、今の私にとっては安全軽量が第一。ちなみに、昔、知り合いの弦楽器商からアンティークの木製ヴァイオリンケースをもらいました。京都で部屋に飾っていました。ケースの金属プレートに何か古いサインが刻まれていたので引っ越しの際に譲ることなく処分しませんでした。どこか倉庫で眠っているかもしれません。まだまだアンティークになっていますね。（美智子） My orthopedic surgeon has advised me to avoid carrying heavy loads to reduce the strain on my hip joints. そういえば、５月１９日のヴァイオリン肩当て購入時の写真は、楽器に付けて試し弾きをしているものだけでした。楽器の下、肩に触れているのが肩当てです。体型や年齢によって変化する自分に合ったものを選びました。軽くてしなやかです。補助器具というものは、心地よい収まり具合があり、収まり過ぎても良くないと考えます。何事も不安定さが自由を残すこともあるからです。今は長時間練習するわけではありませんが、学び続ける喜びを静かに支えてくれる小道具の一つです。（ヴァイオリンを弾く遊民　美智子） Come to think of it, the photos from when I bought the violin shoulder rest on May 19th only showed me trying it out on the instrument. 暑くなってアイスの季節になりました。サムさんとシグナルチャットで「アイスクリームを食べるのを止めてください！」と言いました。昨日はアイスキャンディーを３本でやめました。サムさんは菜食主義者で甘い物も口にしません。（美智子） It’s getting hot, and it’s ice cream season now. 心強いご近所さん「善行すずき眼科」で目の定期検診でした。診察の為に瞳孔を広げる点眼薬を使ったので外に出ると眩しい！良いタイミングでの手術とレーザー治療のお陰で、楽譜やパソコン画面が良く見えるようになって幸せです。そうでなかったら、今頃悲しくなっていたかもしれません。鈴木眼科医さん、ありがとう！（美智子） I had my regular eye checkup at my reliable neighbor, “Zengyo Suzuki Eye Clinic.” They used eye drops to dilate my pupils for the examination, so it’s really bright outside! 今はバッハのフランス組曲２番アルマンドを練習しています。面白いことは記譜された運指法とアーティキュレーションとの関係。バッハ当時に駆使された運指法はミニ発見。熟練したピアニストにとっては当たり前のようですが、私はヴァイオリン弾きのピアノ練習なのでこれも何気ないお楽しみです。（ピアノを弾くヴァイオリンを弾く遊民　美智子） The simple richness of life.
