医師から家族へ病気の状態を説明する際に
「爆弾を抱えている状態です。いつ爆発してもおかしくありません。」
このような表現が使われることがあります。
先日「心臓が爆発するかもしれないみたい。」と話している人がいました。医師が使った比喩を心臓破裂のように思ったようです。
この「爆弾を抱えている」というのは、いつ再発したり悪化したりするかわからない時や慢性的な疾患がある時に使われます。
野球選手が肩を痛めている時にも「肩に爆弾を抱えている」とよく使われています。

Shriners Hospitals for Children – Honolulu Christmas Choir Singing Mele Kalikimaka

It is with great pleasure that I present to you the first ever Shriners Hospitals for Children – Honolulu Christmas Choir signing Mele Kalikimaka. Kudos to our talented patient singers; Bobby Ingano and his band; Peterson Rosario; Dean Kay; and our Shriner associates for making this possible.





The purpose of this video is to bring awareness to the our community and the world at large about the incredible work performed daily at our hospital as well as our sister Shriner hospitals.

今日、ホノルルにあるシュライナーズ病院のコリーン ウィーラーさんからメールが届きました。
病院のスタッフと、患者である子供達が、クリスマスソングを演奏しています。

この病院には、これまでに何度もヴァイオリンの演奏の為に訪問しました。
また、ナコスの英語医療研修を行った際には、何度も、日本から来た医療関係者である生徒さん達を伴って病院を訪問し、院内を全て案内して頂き、それぞれの部署で働く病院のスタッフともお話しし、充実した時間を持ちました。包むような心優しい人達でした。離れていてもこのように繋がりを保つことがができることに感謝しています。

シュライナーズ病院は、莫大な寄付金で運営されています。骨や筋肉の重い病気の子供達が無料で治療を受けることができます。この病院の素晴らしい働きを世界中の人達に伝えたいと、コリーンウィーラーさんが書いていますのでご紹介します。
