私はイネ科花粉症です。
日本では２～３月にかけて、スギ科花粉症が大流行しますが、
イネ科花粉症はスギ花粉も落ち着いた５～６月にピークを迎えます。
症状は、くしゃみ・鼻水・鼻づまり・目や喉のかゆみなどです。
先日、NACOS湘南にお伺いしたときもひどい症状でした。

しかし、この症状にはアレルギーの薬が絶大な効果を発揮します。
それまで、くしゃみが何十回と出る状態でしたが
薬を飲むと、３０分もしないうちに症状が緩和してきます。

気持ちの問題も影響していそうですが、薬の効果は絶大だと感じました。
夏が近づき、夕方5時でもこの明るさです。
日差しが強い時は、外を歩くのが嫌になりますが、
この海を目にすると、やっぱり綺麗だなと感じてしまいます。

先月、体調を崩しましたが、またしても体調を崩しました。
食欲不振と発熱、関節痛、胃の痛み…先月と全く同じ症状です。
再度受診してみると、なんと、胃潰瘍でした！
ストレスと戦うサラリーマンの仲間入りです。
胃薬をもらい、すっかり元気になりました。
おとといまではヨーグルトしか食べれませんでしたが、昨日はおにぎりも食べれるようになりました。
そして今日、以前から友人が私の誕生日パーティを計画してくれていたので、ピザやケーキを食べれるくらいに回復する必要がありました。
何とか胃の調子はよくなり、美味しくいただくことができました！
みんな同じようにストレスを抱えているし、私よりも大変な状況にある人が多いのに、
私だけ体調を壊すのは本当に情けないことです。
でもこうしてお祝いしてくれる仲間に支えられ、手作り料理に囲まれ、ありがたいなあ、としみじみ思います。
感謝の気持ちを忘れずにいたいと思います。

Every Friday afternoon when jogging around Magic Island you can see the sailboats on the water. They wander aimlessly until dusk and then return to the safety of the harbor.
毎週、金曜日の午後、マジックアイランドをジョギングしている時、海に浮かぶヨットの帆が見えます。ヨットは、太陽が沈むまで、あてもなく海の上を漂っています。それから、安全な港に戻っていきます。

When I was a young boy, my mother asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. It didn’t take long for me to think about what that was. I wanted to be a professional football player. I played Running Back for a number of years and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my knees couldn’t take the pressure and I was forced to stop playing the game I love. But every season, I make sue to watch as many games as I can on television.
As years went on I studied and did many other things, such as, computer programming, cooking in a restaurant, fashion and farming. None of these things fulfilled me nor fit the purpose of my life. Some time before I came to Hawaii I worked at Children’s Hospital in Boston where I learned a bit about Gastroenterology. I liked the hospital atmosphere and even started studying terminology and coding. But it wash’t until I came to Hawaii that I realized my destiny.
After working odd jobs here on the island, I studied and became certified as a CNA. Then I got certifications in Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy. Helping people medically has really been gratifying to me and I’ve realized purpose in doing what I do to help people. Every two years I certify for CPR and First Aid. As much as I don’t like having to retake the certifications I love what I do and hope to help people all around the world. With God’s help I will accomplish my dream..

こちらオアフ島は、最近雨の日が多く、今日も雨です。
しかし、雨の後に見ることの出来る虹は、いつも綺麗です。
これを見ると、雨の日も悪くないかなという気分になります。
Yesterday I was invited to attend the Oahu Brewfest at Paradise Cove. That meant I had to travel all the way to the far west side of the island. It was raining heavily most of the way. I could hardly see to drive. Fortunately, it was dry at Paradise Cove. At the event, there were a lot of different types of beers and wines for tasting. There was also a fashion show with many attractive models displaying a variety of styles of clothing. To top it off, a band played until late in the evening.
We took a family vacation to DisneyWorld recently. The solgan for DisneyWorld is that it’s the happiest place on Earth. I can see why. All the workers who greet you there are so cheerful. And there is so much to do to keep both parents and a little ones happy. Aleria loved it! She loved meeting the various Disney characters. Her absolute favorite characters were Sofia the First and Winne the Pooh Bear. We were also able to see Star War characters at Hollywood Studios. I had a lot of fun too, but my feet were hurting by the end of the week.
