Haiku Poem –

horseback rides
begin again, when,
asks a friend

I recently heard from one of my high school friends that he is planning a trip to Europe in 2017 in order to compete in a horse riding match. I happened to remember this bit of information, mentioning to Chay that I was planning on starting up horseback riding again. Chay then wanted to know when I would begin. I replied at once, “I’m still a poor man trying to make a living; I don’t have time to goof off. The most important thing is to keep working on the NACOS method, with your help”. This response seemed to continue our exchange quite nicely.

Haiku Poem –

river flows south
cold current sweeps red
leaves fall down

Autumn has come to Minnesota. Just as the Mississippi river flows south, so too is the cold air coming down from the North and changing everything from green to red. Most notably, the leaves are changing color and beginning to fall. The fact that leaves are falling means that the fall season is here.

Forggeting…..

I’m not sure why but I always forget to do something I say I’ll do. For example, I’ll go to the supermarket to buy fruits. When I get home there’s no fruit but there are a lot of other random goodies. At work, I start a project, get distracted, then start working on something else. A few days later, when my boss asks about it, I realize I never finished. The same goes for posting on this site. I start writing, get distracted, then forget to finish writing. I have Picard moment every time I realize I forgot something and rush to finish what i started. I have every intent to do the things I saw I’ll do. For some reason, once my train of thought is broken it’s hard to get back on track.

Haiku Poem –

whisper like changes
variations of beauty
my favorite time

I have always loved each season in Hawaii and even though I really like the summer weather, sometimes it tends to be the same every day. That is why the autumn is my favorite season. There is a little more variety. The winds change from very strong trade winds to strong kona winds. The mornings and evenings can be either rainy or beautiful starry skies. During this time there are the different holidays which are fun and also the whales come back to Hawaii so that is always a welcome sight. The weather can be a little cooler but it is not too cold. Since the seasonal changes in Hawaii are not as abrupt as other places, there is no dreading winter and the harsh weather that comes with it.
