歓声のジンベイザメとご対面
かんせいの　ジンベイザメと　ごたいめん

Sitting in the back of the submarine doing my regular job when all of a sudden everybody in the front of the submarine are all excited and yelling. I thought that maybe there were some dolphins as we were just descending and then the staff at the front told me over the headset that here was a whale shark! I have never seen one in Hawaii. I was in the 64 passenger submarine and the whale shark slowly swam along to the back. It was a baby, and was about 12 meters long! The submarine is 30 meters long. It was right next to the submarine! My friend took a great picture! I counted until 10 and then it was gone!

　観光用潜水艦「アトランティス」の後部座席に座り、いつものように仕事をしていた時のことです。潜水艦が水中を航行中、突然、前の方のお客様から歓声が上がりました。私は、イルカが現れたのだろうと思いました。しかし、最前列にいたスタッフがヘッドセットを通して、ジンベイザメが現れたと伝えてきました。私はジンベイザメをハワイで見たことはありません。潜水艦は、６４人乗りです。ガラス張りの窓越しに、ジンベイザメが潜水艦に沿って後ろまでゆっくりと泳いでいくのが見えました。ジンベイザメは赤ちゃんで、体長が、１２メートル位ありました。潜水艦の長さは、３０メートルです。サメは潜水艦のすぐ横にいました。私の友達が凄く良い写真を撮りました。私が１０秒まで数えた時、サメは逃げていきました。

ソーラーでふわりパワフル空の旅
ソーラーで　ふわり　パワフル　そらのたび

A swiss organization built a solar powered plane in order to fly it around the world using only solar power. This will set a new aviation record. The plane is extremely light and only holds one pilot. The plane weighs the same as an average family car. This solar plane uses no fuel other than solar energy. It is amazing that something as intangible as sunlight can propel a heavy aircraft on such a long journey.

　スイスのプロジェクトチームは、太陽光発電を動力源とするソーラー飛行機を作りました。太陽エネルギーだけで世界一周飛行を達成する為です。この試みは、新しい飛行記録を樹立することでしょう。機体は非常に軽く、飛行機の中にパイロットが一人しかいません。その重さは平均的な自家用車と同じです。また、太陽エネルギー以外の燃料は使いません。太陽光のように触れることができないものによって、重い飛行機が、そんなに長い距離を飛ぶことが出来るのは驚くべきことです。
