This week, I officially entered the real world and started my first full-time job. I can say that working an 8 hour day is definitely a huge adjustment from being a college student. For one, waking up at 6 seems to be an everyday struggle for me. Also, having a half hour for lunch is way too short. And finally, I find it hard to be confined to one area for such a long time. But in the big picture, these are just minor things and I know I will get use to them eventually. I feel lucky to have a job though seeing how there are a lot of other students/people still looking for work. It’s unbelievable to think that I reached this point in my life already. It seemed like yesterday that I was just starting college and that working full-time was just a long-term goal far in the distance. Hello Real World.

Well, it’s seems as though the lessons are working. Slowly I might add, but none the less they are working. After all the repetition I am starting to recognize more and more of the characters. I wish I could come more often, but work always seems to keep that from happening. I know if I were to come regularly, like twice a week without interruptions, I would undoubtedly would be progressing at a faster pace. Just goes to show how well this system of repetition teaching works. Now that summer is at an end and the vacationers are not as abundant, I’m sure I will be able to come to my lessons more often. Hopefully by the beginning of next summer I will be posting in Japanese. Haha! Wouldn’t that be great?!

Their construction has almost finished!!

中央正面が外来病棟、右は病院スタッフの建物、左はレクレーションルーム、左手前は子供の入院に親御さんが付き添って滞在できる建物などです。まだ内部は整っていませんでした。職員が部屋のお引っ越しや整理をしているそうです。

建設前の数年間、Violin Concertをしていました。建設中はお休みをしましたが、また演奏を再開します。今日は病院のスタッフと打ち合わせをしてきました。

３０年ほど前～深夜にヴァイオリンの練習をしようとしてこれを使ったことがあります。最大限に音量が抑えられるミュートです。これは練習用のためのもので演奏には使いません。習字の文鎮のようにずしっと重い。入れ歯みたい。耳栓みたい。サイレントヴァイオリンになります。

持っていたことを忘れていました。見つけた！

ヌービー日記

（飼い主の語るところによれば）

昨日の朝、ヌービーが急にガッ　ガッ　と喉に、何か詰まったかのように咳き込みだしました。どうしたのかと首の辺りをさすったのですが、鼻の先は濡れていて病気ではなさそうです。それでも、「具合が悪ければウオーキングに行かなくてもいいよ」と話しかけましたが、いつものウオーキングの時間になると元気いっぱいで、調子はよさそうです。

ところが帰宅してしばらくすると、再び、ガッ ガッ やりだしました。何か寄生虫かもしれない、獣医さんに診てもらって血液検査したほうがいいかなー、 と考えたところで、「あッ、月初めの heartworm pill をヌービーにやるのを忘れてた！」　早速、pill をヌービーにあげました。 すると、 以後、ガッガッは ぴたりと止みました。まるで、ヌービーは咳き込むことによって pill のことを思い出させてくれたかのよう。

しかし、まてよ、ヌービーは pill が heartworm のためとは全くわかっていないはず。念のため、今日一日ヌービーを観察しましたが、咳は出ませんでした。ふと、庭先に眼をやると、すすきの穂が首をたれているのがみえました。そして、すすきの後ろは狐が隠れるのにぴったりの藪。。。
