A day of travel began with finding a bank. This meant going to the local Koban to ask the policeman where to go. The policeman was very helpful and explained the way. It was complicated since I had to go down a street, into a tunnel, make a right turn, then a left turn out of the tunnel, and walk straight until the bank was on the left. After getting some money, I visited many temples around Kamakura. The temples all had their own unique feel. The natural beauty around the temples was inspiring. I was surprised to see so much green. Also, when I returned to Enoshima, I had a better experience than before. A friendly young woman carefully answered many questions and was very nice to guests.

　今回、私の藤沢旅行は、銀行探しから始まりました。まず、藤沢駅北口の交番に行って、お目当ての銀行の場所を尋ねました。警察官は、大変親切で、行き方を丁寧に教えてくれました。道順は、まず、まっすぐ進み、地下道に入り、すぐに右に曲がり、そして、地下道の出口に向かって進み、地下道を出たら、左に曲がって、また、まっすぐ進みます。この道順は、ややこしくて、少し難しかったです。しかし、銀行は、道の左側に確かにありました。私は銀行でお金を引き出してから、鎌倉周辺のお寺巡りをしました。それぞれのお寺には、そのお寺独自の風情がありました。お寺の周囲の自然が美しく、ものすごく感動しました。また、緑の多さに驚きました。江ノ島にも行きましたが、前回、訪問した時より心地良い気持ちになりました。前回のつっけんどんな男性神官と違い、今回は、優しい女性で、多くの質問に丁寧に答え、訪問者に対して心をこめて接してくださいました。

２０１３年１０月に、初めて湘南の地を訪れました。
そして、２０１７年６月と８月、私は戻ってきました。
２回目と３回目のナコス訪問を実現したのです。

I arrived in Zengyo and right away felt famous. Everyone seemed to know that I was coming and wanted to be very nice. As soon as I left the subway station, I met a beautiful young woman at her shop. She welcomed me to Zengyo and seemed to know me through the NACOS family. Then, I met a shopkeeper while shopping for oranges. He was so helpful to me that it seemed like I was really important. I got the impression that everyone in town cares about the NACOS family and wants to see us. All of the attention made me feel like a celebrity.

　私は、善行に着いて、すぐ、有名人になったような気分になりました。誰もが、私が善行にやって来ることを知っていて、私が好意的に接して欲しいと思っていることをお見通しのように感じました。善行駅を出てすぐ、私は、若くて美しい女性経営者と会いました。温かく迎えて下さいました。彼女は、ナコスのフェイスブックを通して、私のことをご存知のようでした。また、みかんを買う為に果物屋さんにも行きました。そこのご主人は、いろいろなことを尋ねて下さいました。彼は私を、お得意様と思っているのかと思いました。善行の人達がみんな、ナコスファミリーのことを気にかけ、見て下さっているような印象を持ちました。私は皆さんに注目されて、まるで有名人になったような気持ちになりました。

golden rays
melt into the waves
the seaside road

雲焼けて金色の波海の道
くも やけて　こんじき の なみ　うみ の みち

Driving along the coast in Hawaii, the breathtaking sight of the glorious sunset grabs my attention. To the extent that I had to pull over. To watch in awe as the sun melted into the ocean and cast its golden rays upon the evening sky before disappearing into the night.

　ハワイの夕暮れ時に、海沿いの道をドライブしていると、息を呑むような素晴らしい景色に心を奪われます。私は車を道の脇に止め、この夕暮れの景色を楽しみます。鮮やかな夕日は、徐々に海に溶け込み、夜のとばりが下りる少し前、金色（こんじき）に輝く光線を放ちます。私は畏敬の念を持って眺めます。

I returned to Japan to visit NACOS again for the second time. Although today is a different time and some things have changed, Japan still feels like it did before. Many places that I returned to visit often felt very familiar. This made me feel like I was meeting an old friend again. I thought this was interesting because I actually did meet with old friends from the NACOS family. So, I can say that just like the NACOS family welcomed me back, so did Japan.

　私は、２回目のナコス訪問を実現する為に日本に戻ってきました。この前来た時と変わったところもありましたが、以前、感じた気持ちと同じ気持ちを持ちました。私は、３年半前に訪ねた所を、なつかしさを感じながら、歩き回りました。古い友人に再会しているような気持ちになりました。これは面白いことだと思いました。というのは、実際に、昔ながらの友人、電縁仲間（ナコスファミリー）の皆さんと再会しました。ナコスファミリーの皆さんが、お帰りなさいと言って下さったから、日本、湘南の地も、お帰りなさいと言ってくれたのだと思います。

One of the things in my life that I am so very thankful for is that I was able to take my favorite hobby, which is scuba diving, and was able to become an Instructor. Of course it is a wonderful thing to be able to make a living doing something that you love but also it is so rewarding to be able to introduce to somebody the wonders of the ocean through scuba diving. Many people dream of being able to go scuba diving and for me being able to help somebody who has that dream has been very satisfying. To be able to do that is even more rewarding than the actual diving!

　自分の人生を振り返る時、私が本当に感謝していることの一つは、スキューバダイビングを趣味に持てたことです。それは、私の一番大切な趣味になりました。また、それだけでなく、私はスキューバダイビングのインストラクターにもなれました。勿論、好きなことをして生計を立てることが出来れば、それだけで素晴らしいことです。しかし、それだけでなく、スキューバダイビングを通して海の素晴らしさを伝えることができれば、とても意味あることです。いつかスキューバダイビングをやりたいと夢に描いている人はたくさんいます。そのような人達にスキューバダイビングを楽しむ手助けができたら、本当にやり甲斐のあることです。そんなことが出来たら、実際のダイビングよりもさらに価値あることだと思います。
