Today, I bought Yakuruto for the first time. I found it at a nearby store. I heard that Yakuruto is good for health. Yakuruto has bacteria that help with digestion. However, there was one thing that surprised me. There are two types of Yakuruto. One type is a blue color and the other type is a red color. The blue color one has fewer calories. Since I wanted to try both kinds, I bought one package of each. Each package has at least six small bottles. Supposedly, the different kinds taste the same and are equally effective. I only tried free samples of Yakuruto once or twice at the store. So far, I think I am happy with the purchase.

　今日、初めてヤクルトを買いました。近くの店で見つけました。ヤクルトには、消化を助ける細菌が含まれていて、健康に良いと聞きました。しかし、少し意外に思ったことがありました。ヤクルトには、２種類のタイプがあることです。一つは、青で、もう一つは、赤です。青は、赤に比べてカロリーが少ないです。私は、両方、試してみたかったので、それぞれのパッケージを一つずつ購入しました。各パッケージには、六つの小さなボトルが入っています。どちらも味や効果は同じだそうです。お店で、１、２度、無料サンプルを飲んでみました。今のところ、この買い物に満足しています。

Bacon and eggs is a traditional breakfast in the United States. Although I like it, I do not make it often. Since I am frequently busy, I often do not have time. So, cereal and toast are usually more convenient. However, today I fried eggs and bacon. Yesterday, I bought the eggs and bacon for today’s breakfast. After I brought the bacon home, I discovered that I still had an unused package of bacon in the refrigerator. I was surprised to see that the expiration date for the bacon that I just bought was earlier than that for the bacon in the refrigerator. Therefore, I cooked the bacon that I bought yesterday this morning. I am keeping the other bacon in the refrigerator longer since it is still fresh.

　ベーコン エッグは、米国の伝統的な朝食です。私も、勿論、大好きですが、あまり作りません。朝はバタバタしていて、作る時間がないからです。朝は、だいたい、トーストとシリアルが便利です。しかし、今日は、ベーコンと卵を炒めました。昨日、今日の朝食のために、ベーコンと卵を買いました。家に帰って冷蔵庫を調べると、まだ使っていないベーコンがありました。買ったばかりのベーコンの賞味期限が、冷蔵庫の中にあるものより早いので驚きました。その為、昨日、買ったベーコンを、今朝、調理しました。冷蔵庫の中にあったベーコンは、まだ新鮮ですから、しばらく保管します。

山歩き水菓子実る黄色い木

There are many types of fruits in Hawaii. Two of my favorite are Passion Fruit and Guava. Passion Fruit is a reddish, round, fruit that grows on a vine. The taste is tart and sometimes a little sweet. To eat Passion Fruit you cut it in half and scoop out the seeds and flesh to make a juice. The seeds are edible, just a little crunchy. I am not sure where to find Passion Fruit in the wild. Usually my friends give them to me. Guavas in Hawaii are little round yellow fruits with a pink inside that grow on trees. Depending on how ripe they are the taste will be sweet or sour. You can cut it in half with a knife or just bite it to expose the fleshy inside. You can find guava trees all over Hawaii but particularly while hiking in the mountains.

　ハワイには、たくさん果物があります。私のお気に入りは、リリコイ（パッションフルーツ）とグアバです。リリコイは、つるに生（は）える赤みがかった丸いフルーツです。味は、少し甘くて酸っぱいです。リリコイの食べ方は、まず、リリコイを半分に切り、スプーンですくって、種を取り除き、ジュースを作ります。種も食べることができます。少しカリカリした食感です。リリコイが、どこに生（は）えているかは知りません。友人が，いつもくれます。ハワイのグアバは、木になる、丸くて小さな、黄色い果物です。果実は、ピンク色をしています。味が甘いか酸っぱいかは、どれくらい熟しているかによります。ナイフで半分に切るか、噛んで中身を出すことも出来ます。グアバは、ハワイのあちこちにあります。特に、山をハイキングしている時に見つけることが出来ます。

our little thief

早過ぎるこそ泥でしょう子猫ちゃん　
はやすぎる　こそどろ でしょう　こねこ ちゃん

My wife and I have had our kitten since December of last year. We just love her! She follows me around everywhere I go and all she wants to do is play! She is getting bigger and I hope when she becomes an adult she will still want to play like she does now. One problem we have been having with her is that she likes to play with everything and my wife and I have noticed certain things missing. My name tag for work is gone! I have seen her play with it many times and now it is gone. Also, my wife is missing many of her ear rings and also two chains! I have no idea where she hides everything. We have looked everywhere but still can’t find anything. We are thinking of putting in a video camera in each room and then when we are away from work we can video her and maybe find out where our items are!

　私達夫婦は、去年の１２月から子猫を飼っています。可愛がっています。子猫は、私がどこへ行っても、追いかけてきます。子猫は、ただただ、遊びたいのです。だんだん大きくなっています。大人になっても、今のように、遊びたがると良いのにと思います。ところで、一つ問題が起こりました。と言うのは、子猫は、何とでも遊びたがり、妻や私のものが、どこかに行ってしまいます。私の仕事用の名前タグがなくなりました。子猫が、何度もそれで遊ぶのを見ました。妻のイヤリングとネックレスもなくなりました。どこに隠したのか、全然、分かりません。色々なところを探しましたが、見つかりませんでした。アパートの各部屋に、ビデオカメラを付けようと思っています。私達が、いない間に、ビデオを撮っておけば、どこに隠したのか分かるかも知れません。
