昨日美智子先生と一緒にシュライナーズホスピタルでバイオリンを演奏させていただきました。普段人前で演奏する機会がほとんど無いので緊張しました。ウクレレでも一曲「Smile」を弾かせていただきましたが、完全に暗譜してアイコンタクトをしながら弾ける様になりたいものです。

Today, my violin student Mr. Osamu Takagi and I visited Shriners Hospital for concert for patients and staff. After the performance, we taught some phrases in Japanese. They all enjoyed. Thank you!

過って、人類を行動面からみて農耕型と狩猟型の２型に大別する説が出されました。農耕型は、定住する、すなわち先祖代々同じ場所に住む、大家族、これは植え付け収穫に人手が必要なためで、どちらかといえば保守的、自然を崇拝する、といった特徴があり、一方、狩猟型の特徴は、獲物を追って移動する、食料の量に制限があるため小家族、革新的、自然変革を躊躇しないといったところです。 近隣の犬を見ていて以上のような農耕型と狩猟型を思いだしました。というのは、家はこの辺りの主要道路２本の交差点にあり、自然、飼い主と散歩する犬を多く見かけますが、それらの犬の行動をみていると、犬達も２型に分けられるようです。飼い主の傍につき飼い主の歩調に会わせて歩く型と、飼い主の歩調には全く注意を払わず忙しく動き回る型の２型で、私流に前者を勤労型、つまりソリを引いたり、羊の群れの番をしたりと働く犬、つまり一定の規則に沿って行動する犬に対し、後者を漂流型、つまり気の向くまま何処へでも行く型となずけてみました。

Today’s lesson went well. I’m learning new adjectives and particles and am able to pick up quicker on some of the questions Michiko is asking me. Kinda scared of the Katakana, but I will do my best.
