あっという間に夜になりました。
きれいな夕日だったなぁ。

不意に行った「津」市。
今日は偶然にもお祭りらしく…津は超アツい！！
ちいちゃい子どもからおばあちゃんまで、みんな踊りまくってました！

Every so often I get the nicest people you can imagine.  They remind me why I love my job so much.  The other night at work I met a couple from Japan that had what we call a meal voucher (meaning it’s a set menu that has been paid and arranged with tour agency), they forgot to bring this voucher and was worried that they wouldn’t be able to enjoy their meal.  So they talked with manager and worked out a plan, they would bring the voucher later in the evening or next morning.  When service began he thanked and apologized deeply for the inconvience.  To me I was impressed that he would apologized so sincerely over something that could be resolved so easily.  As service went on he was very amusing albeit a little drunk but amusing none the less.  We had great conversations talking about his trip and what awaited him and how he would like me visit Japan to visit his daughter.  It was also his Birthday so I really wanted him to feel extra special so I stayed with service and conversation even though I was really quite busy.   During dinner I asked how were the steaks he couldn’t believe how delicious the steaks were and complimented us.  After dinner I had planned a Birthday dessert surprize but they were just to full to enjoy so I offered to have this dessert wrapped so they can enjoy at their nearest convience.  They were so elated by this and once again said thank you.  Through out the course of this meal they had thanked me many times but it is I who should be thanking them.  They made my night a memorable one.

今日は大学ハモ部の関西組で梅田で飲んできました。実は私…現役看護師さんしてる大学同期の友達と卒後ほとんど話したことがない(笑)　やから、今日の２人の話が新鮮だったりする。病院によって違うところや、「どこも悩みは一緒なんやんなぁ。」と思うところが結構あったりする。

学生時代の初々しい恋バナ聞けたり(*^o^*)、後輩の意外な一面を見れたり、去年の学祭ビデオを観れたり…。
なかなかおもろい時間を過ごせました。またもう２人の関西組を交えて遊ぼうね(^-^)/

最近、寝不足が続いてたので今日はガッツリ心行くまで寝ました。
お布団が気持ちいいです〜〜。幸せだ〜〜。
毛布ってやばいね〜。快眠して、頭クリアです。
寝るのはやっぱしよいことです。

I am a year older now hopefully a year wiser, we’ll see.  Yesterday was my birthday and although I am now 29 and I am not really looking forward to birthdays anymore.  It’s a reminder that I’m older now and have more responsibility.  This year wasn’t so bad though I went to eat sushi at this great spot called Mitch’s sushi.  I know it sounds unusual because it’s owned by an American, but the sushi was great and the chefs were from Japan.  I will give fair warning though it’s not cheap.  My girlfriend and I had chef’s set menu which is $95 each while the set is great and delicious I was still hungry and wanted maybe a little more to eat.  The toro was the best I ever had, the chu toro was good but I had better.  The set didn’t include any anago so we ordered that at the end along with more toro and chu toro.  The anago was delicious, uni was really fresh and lobster sashimi was excellent.  The only thing is the ambiance in that restaurant isn’t that great but food overall was fantastic.  A word to the wise you have to bring your own liquer so plan ahead.

私の受け持ち患者さん。早急にオペしなきゃ危ないのに他臓器の兼ね合いでオペができない。緊急事態の中の八方塞がりだった患者さんが、今日ようやく緊急枠でオペができた。

よかった。
とりあえずよかった。
家族もホッと一安心。
ふ〜〜。

同期の間では「天禄（テンロク）の日」と覚えられてしまいましたが、かわいくね〜ぃ。

さて、誕生日といっても今日は日勤。頑張るぞ〜と。集中集中。1分でも早く早く…。ミスなく、抜けなく、手抜きせず…でも早く…。よし終わりだ〜と思った。しかし！　終わりかけたときに患者さんが急変してしまい…。ということで今日も遅くなっちゃった。

でも数時間だけだけど、今日もお祝いをしてくれました。ありがとう。プレゼントもいただいて心がホッコリあったかくなりました。遠くの友達からもお祝いメールやプレゼントをいただいてホンマにホンマに嬉しかったです。26歳になっちゃった。20代後半か〜。絶対充実させてみせるぞ！！　おう！
