Neighborhood Walk, Green House

The old Fujisawa country club was designed by Mr. Antonin Raymond. This building is called the Green House because of its green roof tiles.

The color of the tiles stood out brightly under the sun this morning.

The building is pretty decrepit. Although it is very old, the second floor is used as a restaurant. I’m sure that it would be a charming place if it were repaired!!!

旧藤沢カントリー倶楽部は、アントニン・レーモンドの設計です。
屋根瓦が緑色だったことから、グリーンハウスと呼ばれています。
今朝は、青空のもとに、瓦の色が鮮やかに浮かんでいました。

建物はかなり老朽化しています。２階は食堂になっています。
修復すれば、素敵なところになること、間違いなしです！！！

愛犬ココのお話です。２０１５年４月７日、愛犬ココを、安楽死させることになりました。残念なことです。１３才でした。この７年間、私はココと素晴らしい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。ココは、いつも、私の布団の上で、一緒に寝ました。私は仕事から帰って来ると、ほぼ毎晩、ココにトイレをさせる為、洗面所に連れて行ったものです。朝、起きた時も同じでした。又、私は、時々、ココと隠れん坊をしたものです。子犬のココは、目の高さが低いので、ココの背丈より上にいる私が見えません。私は、それを、滑稽だと思ったことでした。私は、ココが、くすぐったがる場所を、よく、こちょこちょ、くすぐりました。ココは、いつも誰かの側にいなければ落ち着かない犬でした。私がソファーに座っている時には、自分もソファーに座りたいと、うるさく鳴き声をあげました。私がビデオゲームに負けて、頭にきている時、ココも、私の怒りを分かち合ってくれました。犬用トイレシートの上ではなく、床の上で、おしっこやうんちをした時には、叱られることも知っていました。ココが、お風呂の時間を知ると、いつの間にか、どこかに雲隠れするのは、面白いことでした。私は、ココがいなくなって、ぽっかり、心に穴の開いたような気持ちです。ココは、訓練を受けた犬ではありません。しかし、実に、頭の良い、利口な犬でした。ココは、２０１２年に死んだ、私のもう一匹の愛犬、ナルちゃんと天国で一緒に遊んでいるに違いありません。ココは、一人ではありません。愛するココちゃん、さようなら。アロハ オエ。安らかに眠り給へ。ココちゃんのお話でした。

今日は、Team NACOS の、新しい演奏レパートリーを増やしました。
大好きな Billy Joel の ”Honesty” を、少しワイルドに弾いてみました。
ヴァイオリン編曲の「夜明けのスキャット」もピアノと合わせてみました。

嬉しい訪問客がありました～関西にお住まいのナコスファミリーです。
10年程前から、毎年、ハワイのナコスに英語研修にいらした博子さん。
今回は湘南に降り立って、一緒に坂の街を散歩しました。
また、スカイプで、ハワイのチェイさんともお話しをしました。
素敵な一日となりました～～どうもありがとう！

The Cherry Blossom Festival here in Washington D.C. has begun. The date for them to be in full bloom is on Saturday. I really enjoy viewing the cherry blossoms because not only are they pretty, but I know spring is upon us too. This year, however, spring has come late. The calendar says it’s April and the cherry blossoms are out but you wouldn’t know that by the way the it feels outside. I had to wear a jacket yesterday because it was so cold. I like the cold season but right about now, I’m ready for spring.

わいわい市場へ生みたて卵を買いに行きました。

あしたは曇りのち晴れ。あさっては曇り時々雨。
しあさっては曇り時々晴れ。よかった！
しあさっては横浜方面へヴァイオリンを担いで練習に行きます。
雨の日と、雪の日と、夏の暑い日に、
ヴァイオリンを持って歩くのは大嫌いだからです！

My dog koko was sadly put to sleep today(4/7), at the age of 13yrs old. For the past 7yrs, I had good times with him. He would always sleep with me on the futon. Almost every night after coming home from work, I would take him walking to use the restroom. Same can be said after I wake-up in the morning. Once in a while, I would play hide-and-go-seek with him. Being that his level of sight is low, due to his height, he wouldn’t see me on higher grounds, which I thought was funny. I would often tickle him in his ticklish areas. He always had to be near someone. If I was sitting on the couch, he would make crying sounds to let me know he wants to sit on the couch, too. He was able to sense anger when I was mad, losing at video games. Also, he knew when he was going to get scolding, after peeing or pooping on the floor and not on the training pads. And I find it funny that, he would hide when he knew it was time to bathe. I miss him a lot!!!He was a smart dog even though he was not trained. I’m sure he’s playing with my other dog Nalu who passed away in 2012. He is not alone.
