今日はキショールさんが善行に来ました。
小話の読みを聞いて、音や意味の確認をしました。
漢字の書き方と使い方の確認もしました。
キショールさん、上達しています。
Kishore-san came to Zengyo today. He read his short story, and I checked his kanji writing too. He has improved.

山本さんの煮干の絵

昨日、古民家に展示していた素敵な絵の作者。
お名前を忘れてしまったので、今日、また行ってきました。
山本藍子さんです。楽しいおしゃべりをしました！
Yesterday, while I was walking, I saw an attractive painting. I talked with her for the first time, but I forgot her name when I returned home. So, I visited again today. Her name is Yamamoto-san and we had a good conversation!

向山さん作の看板

今日は、長後にある湘南くじら館へ行ってきました。
ふじさわアートフェス、くじら書店を開いています。
向山さんが彫った看板、これも素朴な味が良いですね。
I went to Shonan Kujira-Kan in Chogo. They open bookshop for two weeks. Here is an another nice signboard that Mukoyama-san carved.

菊池さんと私

以前、菊池光道さんが書いて、私にくださった書道です。
写真は、昨日、二人でこのフレーズを言っている図です。
向山さんの撮影です。
Kikuchi-san wrote this calligraphy and gave it to me before. Then, we were excited to speak this phrase together yesterday. This photo was taken by Mukoyama-san.

カコリさんに日本語

善行で、かぐや祭りを見たあと、
カコリさんとスレアちゃんに、
短くて、使いやすい、日本語のフレーズを
いくつか教えてあげて、楽しく練習しました。
少しずつ日本語を話すことに慣れています。
After we watched Kaguya Festival, I taught Japanese pronunciation and short sentences to Kakoli-san. She is getting used to speaking Japanese. We had a good time!

菊池さんの書展

佐野さんの蔵まえギャラリーへ書展を見に行きました。
今日から３日間、菊池光道さんの作品が展示されています。
筆で書いて、コンピューターで作成した、という作風です。
菊池さんと実行委員長の向山さんに、昼食会もお誘い頂き、
書家の皆さんとの席で、楽しいひと時を過ごしました。
We went to see Kikuchi-san’s calligraphy exhibition at Kuramae Gallary. Also, we were invited for a luncheon and enjoyed spending time with artists.

藤田さんのかぐや祭り

今日は、藤田さんの運営する福祉施設、
さんわーくかぐやで、かぐや祭りがありました。
鈴木市長のご挨拶で開会。そして賑やかな催し。
パルさん一家も誘って、遊びに行ってきました。
私達は原さんの作品をいくつも買いました。
We went to Kaguya Festival at Fujita-san’s facility in Zengyo. The Kishore family and we had a good time together.

煮干しの絵

藤沢本町を歩いていると、ふと素敵な絵が目に留まりました。
約百年前に創業した下駄屋さんで、展示会をしていました。
中でお話をしたのですが、木村さん？山本さん？でしたか？
お名前を忘れました。鎌倉で美術の先生をしているそうです。

Haiku Poem – 神輿来た

roaring of sound
gazing up like a child
matsuri is here!

神輿来た子供になって大笑い
みこし きた　こども に なって　おおわらい

I have already written on how my first matsuri was the Aoi matsuri in Kyoto. It was a wonderful experience but my first matsuri at night in Hadano was even better. I have mentioned about seeing the matsuri from the window in the dive store that I worked at but one thing that I remember was the displays and lighting and how everybody, young and old, were all laughing like children again! The lights and colors and the banging of cymbals and drums were all so different but they all went together so well! It was as if this was rehearsed for months before the night of the matsuri but it was all spontaneous! I realized that I was laughing and laughing with everybody else! I think for that short period of time everybody is able to become a child again and see it from a child’s eyes and not a adult’s eyes.

　私の初めての祭り体験は、京都の葵祭りでした。それは素晴らしい体験でした。しかし、秦野の夜に体験した祭りは、もっと思い出に残るものでした。今でも忘れられないものは、祭りの屋台とそれを照らす照明の数々です。そして、老いも若きも、子供に戻って無邪気に楽しんでいたことでした。照明と色合い、シンバルとドラムを打ち鳴らす音、それぞれ大きな違いがあります。しかし、すこぶる良く調和していました。これは、一晩の祭りの為に、数ヶ月前から自発的にリハーサルが繰り返されたかのようでした。私も、他の人たちと一緒に大笑いし、楽しんでいることに気づきました。この短い時間の間に、誰もが、再び、子供に戻り、大人の目ではなく子供の目で楽しむことができたのだと思います。
