危機意識ハワイの景色に救われる
きき いしき　ハワイ の けしき に　すくわれる

With the many problems that we have to face today such as the covid pandemic and the current war in the Ukraine and many others. I am always so happy that I live in the beautiful state of Hawaii. Just surrounding myself with the beauty of the ocean and the mountains I am able to forget for a while all the bad problems that we have today.

　現在、世界は多くの問題に直面しています。例えば、新型コロナウイルス感染症の世界的大流行やウクライナの戦争、他にもたくさんの問題があります。私は美しいハワイ州に住んでいることをいつも幸せに思います。私達を取り巻いている綺麗な山と海のおかげで、今日世界が抱えている全ての問題を少しでも忘れることが出来ます。

an overnight stay
time out to reflect
sweet singing birds

帰路につく駅の小鳥と電車待つ
きろ に つく　えき の ことり と　でんしゃ まつ

In March, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and decided its time to take an overnight at one of my favourite spots for relaxation and introspection, the Blue Mountains. It was a very quick visit as for the first time I opted to leave Bali who is 13 now, at home, which he was perfectly good with. I stayed at the regular Katoomba Mountain Lodge that I really enjoy. We had experienced really bad flooding rain in Sydney and when I arrived at after 9 pm the town was almost invisible behind a veil of mist that didn’t lift until the afternoon of the next day.  I had the opportunity to journal and take time out to reflect, I just stayed in the village which was also lovely. I was on my return train at just after 4pm the next day and have some photos from the station where some birds could be heard in the backdrop.

　三月は多忙で私は疲れ気味でした。落ち着いて自分を見つめ直すために、私の大好きな場所のひとつブルーマウンテンズ へ一泊旅行をすることに決めました。１３才の息子バリを初めて家に一人残して行くことにして、私は本当に短い旅をしました。それはバリにとってとても良いことでした。私はよく利用しているカトゥンバ マウンテン ロッジで一泊してとても楽しみました。その間シドニーでは激しい雨が降っていました。私が到着したのは午後９時頃で、村は霧に覆われてほとんど何も見えませんでした。翌日の午後まで霧が晴れませんでした。私は日記を書いたり色々考えたりする時間を持つことができました。カトゥンバ村だけに滞在しましたがとても素晴らしいことでした。次の日、午後４時過ぎに帰りの電車を待っていると、駅の後ろで小鳥のさえずる声が聞こえて写真を撮りました。

Collaborative Haiku Poem – 小鳥の交代

green tinted tree
birds change places
robins are here

木の芽時小鳥の交代ロビン来る
このめどき　ことり の こうたい　ロビンくる

As trees start green tint, winter birds juncos are gone, replaced by robins, like a calendar.

　木々がうっすらと緑色を帯びてくると、冬の小鳥ユキヒメドリが去り、入れ替わりにロビンがやってきます。暦通りです。
