I retired from the Navy and have a new job now. Saving up money to move to Bali and live there. Max is old but doing fine.
アメリカ海軍を退役して新しい仕事に就きました。お金を貯めてバリ島に移り住む計画です。マックスは歳を取りましたが元気です。

ホノルルのナコスの事務所で日本語クラスを行っていた時、
バリーさんは日本語を習いにいらっしゃいました。
海軍の仕事で船に乗ることが多く途切れがちでしたが、
その後、米海軍横須賀基地の勤務になった時には、
横須賀の家に行ったり、スカイプで話したりしました。
マックス君は横須賀にも住んでいました。
これからの新しい生活もお幸せに！

I met Sam-san near Fujisawa station. I took my computer and learned new thing from him.

新季節海の王族子供連れ
しんきせつ うみ の おうぞく こどもづれ
Even though there have been a few sightings of whales since last December, I had my first real big sighting this January. A Mother was guiding her calf in fairly shallow water, about 16 meters or so and slowly swimming back and forth for about 20 minutes until they descended. For the next few months this will be a regular occurrence.
去年の１２月は遠くからたまに鯨が見える程度でしたが、今年の１月ははっきり見えるようになりました。一頭の母親鯨が１６メートル位の深さで赤ちゃん鯨を連れて、行ったり来たりゆっくり泳いでいました。海中に姿を消すまで２０分ぐらい船から見ることが出来ました。これから２ヶ月か３ヶ月間は鯨がよく見えるお楽しみの期間です。

I went to a Japanese antique shop called Semimaru and I talked with Baba-san. I got some leaves from their garden because I like leaves.

彼女は、家族、友人と乗馬を楽しんでいます。
レフアさんの仕事は獣医さんです。
ハワイ島は火山噴火しているのですね。
I received nice pictures from Lehua-san who lives in Big Island, Hawaii. She is a veterinarian and enjoying horseback riding with her family and friend. A volcano is erupting now.
