ナコスファミリーのメルさんがハワイから来ました。激しい雨の後、草花や空がとても美しい藤沢となりました。メルさんの運転でお墓参りをしました。ご夫妻がきれいな日本語を話すのも嬉しく思いました。
Mel-san came to Fujisawa from Hawaii. We talked about many things and visited graveyard. That was such a beautiful day after the heavy rain.

I went to a Japanese antique shop called Semimaru. Baba-san gave me some Dokudami flowers (Houttuynia cordata).

I made a G clef with embroidery. I’m playing Schimann’s Traumerai with the piano score above and the violin score below. I wish I could play two instruments at the same time.

My daughter loves to eat fruit. Blueberries, strawberries, bananas, or whatever it doesn’t matter to her. She loves them all. So about once a week we go shopping for them, usually at Costco. However, they don’t always have the freshest selection. But the price is usually good considering how much you get. The blueberries are about $6, the strawberries $7, and the bananas $3. Sometimes it’s hard to eat all the fruit but we happily power through them together.
娘は果物が大好きです。ブルーベリーやイチゴやバナナなど、果物なら何でも食べます。私達はコストコに週に１度くらい買い物に行きます。コストコには常に新鮮な品揃えがあるわけではありません。しかし量の多さを考えると、手頃な値段で買うことができます。ブルーベリーは１パック６ドル、イチゴは７ドル、バナナは１房３ドル位です。新鮮なうちに食べ切るのは難しいですが、家族みんなで頑張って食べるのは嬉しいです。

海の巨漢最後の踊りお元気で
うみ の きょかん さいご の おどり おげんきで
Spring has arrived in Hawaii! There are many signs that the winter season is done and that Spring has begun. Different flowers bloom and different fruits and vegetables can be seen in abundance in the stores here. The direction and speed of the winds change as do the surf conditions on the different sides of the islands. One sign that Spring is here is the returning of the whales to Alaska. They start arriving in Oahu around December and the peak season for seeing them is February and early March. Although they can still be seen during April, it is usually sporadic with an occasional sighting in May.
ハワイ州オアフ島に春がやって来ました。冬が終わり、春の訪れを表す印がいくつかあります。色々な特別な花が咲き、店には春の季節の野菜と果物が豊富に並びます。春の風の方向と速度は、冬の時とは違います。波の高さも島の異なるサイドによって変わります。オアフ島で春を告げるものは、鯨がアラスカ州に戻って行くことです。鯨は大抵１２月頃に初めてハワイにやって来ます。２月と３月の初旬は鯨の季節のピークです。その時は殆ど毎日現れます。４月中もまだ見ることが出来ますが、５月には不定期的に時折現れます。

鯨がハワイからアラスカに帰る季節です。

コンピューター作業での困難があり、
サムさんに助けを求めました。
サムさんに旅行のお土産をいただき、
エリーちゃんの存在のおかげ、
小田急店で１３００円分のクーポンを得て、
ストレスはいったん和らぎました。
今日も嬉しいことをありがとう：）
There is a difficult thing to do in my computer work, so I asked Sam-san for help. I was under stress but the stress just subsided, because Sam-san gave me a souvenir from the trip and the presence of happy Elly-chan. In addition, I got a coupon worth 1300 yen at Odakyu store. Thank you for making me happy today too:)
