収穫などとは全くの誇張ですが、例年ならとっくに終わっているトマトと苦瓜が、
今年はどういう風の吹き回しかまだしばらくは続く様子です。

本来なら最盛期の夏の間は出来が悪く、今年はダメだった、
来年又試してみようと気を取り直したところでしたから、意外な気持ちでいます。

ある日、突然、庭の松ノ木2本に赤のペンキでX印がつけられているのに気が付きました。どういうことだろうといぶかしく思っていると、オマハ市から「枯れ木は危険なので持ち主が自前で切り倒すか、それが出来なければ市で処理しますが、費用は持ち主負担です」との知らせがきました。

南米のチリーにいるこの家の持ち主に連絡を取ったり、持ち主が木の伐採業者の手配をしたりと、数ヶ月かかって、やっと、伐採に到りました。森の中ではなく住宅街の木を倒すには周りの木や家の屋根に注意を払わねばなりませんから、2本の松ノ木を倒すのに、結局、4時間余りかかりました。

This morning, my girlfriend and I went to check out the Farmer’s Market at KCC. I had always heard about this market from friends but never had the chance to go. We got there at about 8:30 and it was packed. I didn’t realize so many people were gonna be there but I kind of liked the busy atmosphere. We first walked around to plan out what we were gonna buy. It was hard because I pretty much wanted to try everything. After looking around, we ended up buying acai bowls, spam musubi, and sausage on a stick. It was an interesting mix of foods for breakfast but I was satisfied. Overall it was pretty fun and recommend it to anyone looking for something new to do on a Saturday morning.
