We have about a month left before the baby is due. We are really excited to meet her, but we are not yet ready for her arrival, at least not completely. I spent all this weekend cleaning the house. I’m doing a little spring cleaning getting rid of the old and setting up the new. I’m not quite done yet. My big belly is heavy to carry around and I can only do a small amount of lifting so I’m taking the process slowly. My husband helps move the heavy stuff, but he mostly waits for me to ask because I’m very particular about how I want things arranged. All this cleaning is making me tired. Oh well, that’s good for today. There is always next weekend.
Spring can be such a wonderful time of year as plants and animals begin to come to life once again. Just mowed most of the lawn yesterday which seemed to grow over a foot in a couple of days. The robins are out building nest and there is much more daylight. However, we have just had the coldest April ever recorded for our area. There is no shortage of rain. When we do get a sunny day the kids are great and run outside almost refusing to come in. So, after a couple of nice days, it’s a rainy Sunday. I think after the coldest April we are going to have the wettest May. I’m hoping for the brightest June, warmest July, hottest March, and sunniest September. Time to go do the summer dance.

I know this topic has been talked about over and over but at my NACOS lesson today, I had an interesting revelation about gas prices. A couple years ago, I wrote a blog entry about how high gas prices were in Italy when I lived there in high school. Gas was about $5.00/gallon, which was high compared to gas in Honolulu which was about $2.90 to $3.00/gallon. But now that I look at gas prices today, it is almost getting as high as $5.00/gallon. Before I could fill up my truck with about $35 but it’s more than $50. This isn’t too bad compared to other stories I’ve heard from other people but it’s definitely putting a dent in my wallet. When will this end?
