今日も田舎の虫ネタ話をします。
嫌いな人は読まないでください。
出ました。私の部屋で…ムカデ。
寝る前の読書中、目の前をカサカサカサ…
数秒体が固まる。「ギャーーーっ」
という声も出ない。
あかん…、あかん。アカン、アカンアカンアカンアカン、あかんって！！！！！

情けないですが、起きていると知ってたので「お、おかーーさーーん！む、ムカ、ムカデ！！」と声を絞り出して助けを求めました。
その晩は親の力で撃退していただきまして、寝ました。話に聞くと、一匹いたら二匹は一緒にいるとか…寝てる間を襲われて噛まれることが多いとか…
怖いよ。でもその夜は安眠。

しかし、次の日の昼間に…、また出た！ しかも再び私の部屋で！それも一回捕まえ損ねたら見事に姿を消されて行方が分からなくなってしまった。父と捜すも、少しの隙間にでも隠れるヤツ、もう全く見つからない。でも私の部屋のどこかにムカデが潜んでいる…。そう思うと、どうしよう。。。父はおでこを這われて噛まれたことがあると話してくるし、おちおち寝てられない。（しかし、私なら一旦寝入れば熟睡やろうか…）こわい～。部屋にいても落ち着かない。周りをチラチラ。きょろきょろ。姿を現すなら、起きてる間に来いや！寝てる間なんて卑怯やぞ！（ムカデにとっては知ったこっちゃないが。）落ち着かない。結局何度も目が覚めた…。確かに恐怖はカメムシより上かも。

Leslie got a job this week as a server or waitress at a barbeque restaurant located one block from our house.  It is her first job other than babysitting.  She has worked hard to learn how to give change properly and memorizing the menu.  Had a church group stay 3 days at our church that came up from Oklahoma to help with the tornado in Joplin.  They put up tents.  That’s all for now.  Getting quite warm – in the mid 90’s.  Be blessed.

実家へ帰ったら、お料理レパートリーを増やしたいと思っていました。
実家生活になって数か月、今まで習ったもしくはチャレンジした品数を思いつく分だけ挙げてみた。

26品。

改めて数えると嬉しいね。
なかなか頑張っとるではないか。

オシャレな料理というより、煮物が多いけど（笑）
まぁ、まだまだ「味薄っ！」とか「アレ？忘れた…。」って感じやから、
モノにしていきたいね～。

5月に受けたアロマテラピー検定2級…
合格しました～～ やった～

We finally made it down the last two weeks before baby is due. We have about two weeks left although according to the baby books and websites, she can come anytime between now and then. Truthfully, I’m really nervous not only about the birthing process and the pain it brings, but also about having to raise a child. She’ll be so tiny and dependent on us. She’ll expect us to know what we are doing. I know there have been generations of people who’ve had and taken care of babies before us and many more who will do it after us, but that doesn’t take the scariness away. In the meantime I guess I should go read my more parenting books to prepare.

 Tornado update

We have made it almost 2 weeks since the tornado.  First week was fast and furious.  People brought us donations and we made 4 trips to a church to deliver those and ours combined plus food.  Our church organization brought a disaster relief check to the church in Joplin we lost so Steve escorted them over.  The first Thurs. when Steve was over there, he had to take a search and rescue worker to the hospital because she had been ran over by a deer.  Strange, but true.  We also began cooking food for people to take to workers cleaning up.  About 300-500meals each day on top of our evening meals.  Been quite busy.  Had some meat donated this week to help cook.  Supposed to be a 2 hr. trip, but turned into 4 hrs. because the truck Steve borrowed had the battery die plus other complications.  All worked out.  Also helping organize other volunteers in clean up and getting a place ready for a blind man and his bed ridden wife to stay.  There’s more, but I’ll have to stop for now or I won’t wake up for church.  God bless.
