午後、キショールさんが善行に来ました。
日本語で小話を話す練習も、音楽も、マラカスを使って、
気持ちを込めて楽しく取り組みました。
キショールさんは、歩きながらも、善行駅でも練習しました！
Kishore-san came to Zengyo today. Kishore-san put feeling into each sentence when he speaks his short story in Japanese. He used his hand and maracas, which was good! He also practiced maracas for music performance as well. In addition, he practiced during walking and even at Zengyo station too!

皆川さんからお誘いをいただいて行ってきました。

There is a park in Fujisawahonmachi called Iseyama park. Today, we participated in a tree-planting ceremony. Minagawa-san and Mayor of Fujisawa, Suzuki-san planted a cherry tree. We all hope that this park will become a beautiful and enjoyable place more and more!

I went to a charity bazaar at Hananoki church. I was invited by Ito-san this year again. I bought a pair of hand-made warm socks and glasses case. These are useful!

風邪が治って、すっかり元気になっていました。
来週、チーム・ナコスの演奏会で、キショールさんは、
日本語での短いスピーチと、マラカスを担当します。
それで、今日は会社が終わったあとすぐに来たのです。
丁寧に熱心に練習して帰りました。お疲れ様でした！
Kishore-san came to Zengyo after work. Team NACOS will do concert next week, so he will speak short speech about himself in Japanese, also he is in charge of maracas when we play music. So I instructed him. He enjoyed a rehearsal!

今日は、Kawenaさんの家で、リハーサルをしました。
カヴェナさんは新しい曲にも熱心に取り組んで練習しました。

Next week, Team NACOS will perform music at concert. Kawena-san and I will play some duet with violin and guitar, so we had a rehearsal at his house today. He played a custom-made guitar. Sound and looks of this guitar is fabulous!

After writing my haiku on the moon I had the image in my head of a person who was bright on the outside but the opposite on the inside. This made me remember the Dead Sea. I was taught in school that the Dead Sea only receives water but never gives water which is why it is dead. I was taught that people can be the same way.
私は、満月の俳句ポエムを書いた後、外見は明るくても、内面は反対の人の例を思いました。そして、そのことで、死海の教えを思い出しました。私は、子供の頃、学校で習いました。死海には、水が入って来るだけで、まったく出ていきません。それで死海と呼ばれています。人間も同じようになる、という教訓です。

A lot of water from various sources flows into the dead sea but no water flows out so the water becomes too salty to support life which is why it is called the dead sea. Human beings are the same. If a person only receives but never gives then that person becomes dead inside as there is no thought for anybody else. Only themselves. In the Hawaiian waters there is always the movement of the water going both in the harbors and channels and also the flow of water coming out. At certain times of the day when the conditions are right it is very easy to see the bottom formations even with the naked eye. I think that is when it is the most beautiful.
死海には、色々な所から水が流れ込んできます。しかし、水は、入ってくるだけで、まったく出ていきません。ですから、塩分濃度が非常に高くなって、生き物は生きることが出来ません。それで、この湖は、死海と呼ばれています。人も同じです。他人のことを考えず、自分のことだけを考える人の内面は死んでいます。もし、貰うだけで、与えることを嫌がるなら、その人の心は、死んでいると言えます。ハワイ近海では、港と運河の双方で、いつも水の動きがあります。また、海へ出て行く水の流れもあります。流れの状態が良い時間帯には、ボートの上から肉眼で海底がよく見えます。その時の海は一番美しいと思います。

港のボートから見た透明度の高いハワイの海です。
８メートルぐらい下の海底がよく見えます。
今日の朝、１１月１５日、午前５時３０分頃の善行の月です。
昨日、１１月１４日は、スーパームーンが現れる日でした。
藤沢市は曇っていて見ることが出来ませんでしたが、
ハワイのナコスファミリーが、昨日、写真を見せてくれました。
１９４８年以降、６８年ぶりに、月が最も地球に近づいて、
最大の月が現れたのです。
つきを呼びましょう！Bring good fortuneの意味です～（笑）
This is today’s moon in our town, around 5:30am on November 15th. The largest Super moon since 1948 appeared yesterday on November 14, 2016. The moon made its closest distance to Earth in 68 years.

In Hawaii, the full moon is always spectacular! The moon is so large that it seems so close that one can almost touch it. When I look at the full moon I can tell that it is something that has been here much longer than me and will be here after I have been gone for hundreds if not thousands of years. Although it gives off a very bright light it is in a way sterile as it provides no warmth at all. It can almost symbolize some people who may be very famous but at the same time they are very cold and do nothing for those who are attracted to them.
ハワイの満月は、いつ見ても、素晴らしいです。見事です。ハワイの満月は、大きくて、触ることができるくらい近くに見えます。満月を見ていると、月は、私が生まれるずっと前からあって、私が死んだ後も、何百年、何千年と存在することがわかります。月は、大変、明るい光を放っていますが、その輝きに温かみは、まったくありません。それは、まるで、一部の有名人を象徴しているようです。その人達は表面的に明るいですが、内面は冷たく、周囲の人達への思いやりや気配りがありません。

Super moon – November 13, 7:00pm, Hawaii time
ハワイ州オアフ島の美しいスーパームーンです。
家々も幻想的に照らされています。
ハワイ時間の２０１６年１１月１３日午後７時頃です。
この時刻、日本時間では１１月１４日午後２時。
サムさんとエリーちゃんと藤沢駅で待ち合わせました。
そして、色々な話をしながら、北の方へ歩いて行きました。
サムさんはソフトウェアエンジニアで、会議の時間帯は、
外国の顧客に合わせるので、時差ボケになるそうです～（笑）
私も外国のナコスファミリーとスカイプをする時、
オーストラリアと日本は、同じ日にちですが、
日本とアメリカでは、東海岸、中西部、西海岸、ハワイ、
時間帯がそれぞれ異なるので、時差をしっかりメモしています。
途中、大きくて可愛いお地蔵さんが鎮座するお寺と、
エリーちゃんも入ることの出来る店に立ち寄りました。
Today, we met Sam-san & Elly-chan at Fujisawa station and we walked to the north. We mentioned about the time difference between Japan and foreign countries when we talk via skype. Because it’s always important to check the time and day for not making a mistake when we do skype. Sam-san sometimes become jet lag…hahaha! I’m sorry to hear that, but it was funny to talk about this subject!

For quite a few years, Japanese food has been my favorite food. I love fish and seafood and it is often used in Japanese cooking. Also, there are many different types of Japanese Cuisine that are available. One type that I really like is the many types of noodles. Somen, Soba and Udon are staples at my house! Of the three, my favorite is plain, cold Udon. It is very easy to make and one can add many different items to it. I find that it is especially good on a hot day. When I have just Udon noodles I rarely add anything to it. Just eat it as is and I am sure that you will find that it is both very delicious
and filling!
日本食のお話です。私は長年、日本食をこよなく愛して来ました。私は、魚、貝、海老、蟹など、魚介類が好きです。日本料理では、魚介類をよく使います。ところで、日本料理の種類は、実に豊富です。その中で、私が、心底、好きなものは、麺類です。素麺、蕎麦、そして、うどんは、我家に欠かせません。この三つの中で、一番好きなものは、うどんです。食べ方は、冷やし素うどんです。冷やし素うどんは、作り易いですし、自分の好みに合わせて、色々な具を入れることが出来ます。暑さの厳しい日に食べる、冷やし素うどんは最高です。私の場合、うどんの中に具は何も入れません。そのまま食べます。その方が、うどんの味を美味しく味わうことができますし、お腹も、すぐに一杯になります。

３０年ぐらい前に、初めて、ハワイでうどんを食べて以来、
うどんが好物になりました。
最初、うどんを見た時、スパゲッティーだと思って、
チーズとトマトソースをかけました。
