ドゥルガ祭りの昼食の時間を利用して、子規庵に行きました。
上中里から根岸の鶯谷駅まで、電車で１５分ほどでした。
正岡子規の住まいは、書斎と句会や歌会の場として使われ、
また、へちまの見える書斎は子規の病室でもありました。
We went to Shikian. Masaoka Shiki (1867 – 1902) was a poet and critic of the Meiji period in Japan. Shikian is the former residence of Masaoka Shiki.

日本で生まれた子供達もバングラデシュの歌を披露しました。
スレアちゃんも可愛らしい衣装で元気いっぱいに踊りました。
Children performed lovely dancing and sang many songs in Bangladesh language!!

キショールさんに、ドゥルガ祭りに招待していただきました。
東京の上中里の会場で、ヒンズー教の式典を拝見しました。
ドゥルガ祭り は、弁財天様のお母様を祝うお祭りだそうです。
We were invited to Durga Puja （ ドゥルガ祭り）by Kishore-san. This festival was held in Kami-Nakazato, Tokyo. We attended to the ceremony and watched it. Kishore-san explained to us about the meaning of special decolations on the stage.

第４０回善行公民館まつりが催されました。
お囃子、催し物、食べ物コーナーなどがありました。
私は、善行消防団の消防服を着て撮影しました。
好天に恵まれ、のどかで楽しいおまつりでした。
The Zengyo community center festival was held. Thanks to the good weather! I talked with firefighters of Zengyo Fire Department, and I wore fireman jacket. That was a good experience!

A blue spruce in our yard was about 70 year old and over 50 foot high. It offered a nice place for wild birds to rest. Unfortunately, it leaned towards one side like the leaning tower of Pisa, causing us to worry that it might topple over in a big wind or heavy rain, especially during tornado seasons. In August, we had specialists come over and cut it down. Our good neighbor Margaret who lives across the street and knew the tree from the beginning was quite surprised when she noticed two windows that had been hidden behind the tree.
庭のえぞまつ（或いははりもみ）は樹齢70年、高さ１００メートル余りの常緑樹で小鳥たちの良き休憩場所なのですが、残念ながらピサの斜塔並みに一方に傾き、大風大雨、特に竜巻が来たらひとかたまりもなく倒れるのではないかと心配のタネでした。８月、大事に至らぬうちにと専門家に頼んで処分してもらいました。お向かいに住むマーガレットさんは植樹以来ずーつとこの木を見知っていたのですが、伐採直後、これまで木に隠れて見えなかった窓が２つあるのに気付いて驚くことしばしでした。

藤田さんが運営しています。優しく活力あふれる施設です。
創作したものや、栽培、収穫したものを販売していました。
私は、皆さんが作ったお米と味噌を買いました。
We went to Kaguya Festival at Fujita-san’s facility in Zengyo. They do create many things and are acting lively there. I bought rice and miso that they made. It’s delicious!

彫刻家、石川直也さんのアトリエに行ってきました。
大きな大理石に彫刻をしているところを見ました。
茅ヶ崎の林に、カリカリ、ゴリゴリ、音が響きます。
制作過程を見るのは面白いです。音楽作りも同じです。
We went to Ishikawa-san’s atelier in Chigasaki. He is carving marble. It’s interesting to see the process of the artistic activity. There is the essence of art.
