一か月に一度、かかりつけ内科医で処方箋薬を出してもらいます。病院はどこも来週は夏休みです。ドクター石川ちゃんもお楽しみの夏休み。今日は一週間早めにお薬をもらってきました。（美智子）

Once a month, I get my prescription filled by my family doctor. All clinics will be closed for summer vacation next week. So my primary care doctor is also looking forward to his summer vacation. Today, I got my medicine a week early. (Michiko)

天国で本を読んだり昼寝をしたり好きなことをしています。いつでもどこでも私達はお話しています。いつも守ってくれてありがとう。この霊園は木や花の手入れや警備が行き届いています。霊園までバス停から少し歩きます。道すがら、日傘をさして少しうつむきかげんに歩いていると、一輪の白いユリの花が「ハロー！」と挨拶してくれて私は顔を上げました。（美智子）

My husband and our beloved dog Dolce are reading books, taking naps, and doing whatever they like in heaven. We talk whenever and wherever. Thank you for always protecting me. This cemetery is well-maintained, with trees and flowers, and is well-guarded. It’s a short walk from the bus stop to the cemetery. On the way, I was walking with my head slightly down, holding an umbrella, a white lily flower said “Hello!” to me, and I looked up. (Michiko)

またまたシャーベットの新作。豆乳ヨーグルトと味噌で作りました。トッピングは青のり。有機小倉あんを添えて、味噌の辛味とあんの甘みが口の中で溶け合って素晴らしい相性。バナナが味を優しく包んでくれました。今日の朝食にしました。日々の楽しい研究生活の一部。（美智子）

Again, I created another new sherbet. Made with soy milk yogurt and miso. Topped with green laver powder. Served with organic red bean paste. The spiciness of the miso and the sweetness of the bean paste melt in my mouth for a wonderful combination. The banana gently wraps up the flavor. I had it for breakfast today. It’s part of my fun daily life. (Michiko)

長年の友人、中島美貴代さんと鎌倉でランチをしました。栄養バランスの良い食事を出すレストランで楽しい食事の時間を持ちました。そのあと、美貴代さんは鎌倉浄明寺ハイランドの永井邸のお茶室へ戻っていきました。茶道を教えています。藤沢から鎌倉への江ノ電では、ロサンゼルスから旅行に来た女性２人と楽しいおしゃべりをしました。私「大谷翔平さんの野球を見た？」と聞くと、「まだ見てないけど翔平の犬のプリントのTシャツを持ってるのよ」と話が弾みました。「ロスで翔平さんに会ったらよろしく言ってね」と私が言うと、「オーケーオーケー。あなたの顔の写真を撮ってもいい？」と彼女達はスマホで撮影。長谷寺駅に着くと２人は「ダイブツ、ダイブツ」と言いながら下車しお別れしました。何とも愉快なお出かけ日でした。（美智子）

I had lunch in Kamakura with my long-time friend, Nakajima Mikiyo-san. We enjoyed at a restaurant that served well-balanced meals. After that, Mikiyo-san returned to her office because she is an instructor of Japanese tea ceremony. On the Enoden train from Fujisawa to Kamakura, I had a fun conversation with two women who were traveling from Los Angeles. I asked, “Have you seen Shohei Ohtani’s baseball game?”, and one lady replied, “I haven’t seen it yet, but I have a T-shirt with Shohei’s dog on it.” Then I told them, “If you meet Shohei in LA, please say hello to him”, and they responded with, “OK, OK. Can we take a picture of your face?” and took a picture with their smartphones. It was such a pleasant day out. (Michiko)

シャーベット作りが止まりません。新しいレシピを発明しました。有機玄米甘酒と抹茶、上に桜の花びらの塩漬けをのせ、ほのかな甘みと桜の塩味のコンビネーションが素晴らしく成功しました。日々の楽しい研究生活の一部。（美智子）

I can’t stop making sherbet. I created a new recipe. I used organic brown rice amazake and matcha, topped with salted cherry blossom petal. The combination of the subtle sweetness and the saltiness was a great success. It’s part of my fun daily life. (Michiko)

7月最後の日になりました。7月には共通の友人向山武志さんを通して廣田雷風（らいふ）さんからFBフレンド申請を受けて友達になりました。向山さん廣田さんは美術家。廣田さんとフェイスブックのお友達になって、湘南台駅地下広場の長い壁画の作者が廣田さんだと知りました。駅の地下を乗り換えの為に通り過ぎる時、ただ遠くから目に入っていた壁画。作者が廣田さんだと知り、突然、遠目の壁画が愛着あるものに変わりました。私は恋ではありませんが、それは誰かにとっては夏の恋かもしれません。赤いハートは、お家でのストレッチとマッサージ自主トレ道具です。愛の讃歌の楽譜は私の手書き。映画音楽などは、ピアノ楽譜を見て音を選んでヴァイオリンソロ用に手書きで作ります。１度書いても音符を少しずつ書き換えて常に変化しています。いつか廣田さんの壁画の前でヴァイオリンを弾くのも楽しいかもしれません。（ヴァイオリンを弾く遊民　美智子）

Today is the last day of July. In July, I received FBfriend request from Hirota Raifu-san through my mutual friend Mukaiyama Takeshi-san, and we became friends. Both Mukaiyama-san and Hirota-san are artists. When I became friends with Hirota-san on Facebook, I learned that Hirota-san is an artist of the long mural in the underground plaza at Shonandai Station. When I passed through the underground of the station to change trains, the mural caught my eye from afar. When I found out that Hirota-san is the artist of the mural, the mural suddenly became something I cherish. I am not in love, but for someone, it might be a summer love. The red heart is a tool for self-training at home for stretching and massage. The score of Hymn of Love by Edith Piaf, is handwritten by me. For movie music, I look at the piano score, choose the notes, and handwrite it for violin solo. Even if I write it once, I rewrite the notes little by little, so it is always changing. Maybe one day, I would enjoy playing the violin in front of Hirota-san’s mural. (Michiko)

白内障手術から4か月経ちました。暑い夏にメガネをかけると顔が暑かった。今は顔が涼しく軽く感じます。嬉しい！若い頃にソフトコンタクトレンズを付けていた時期もあります。私はアレルギーがあり、眼科医にアレルギーが目に出ているから捨てなさい、と言われて捨てました。１日使い捨てのコンタクトも使ってみましたが目に支障があり止めました。メガネはいくつも作りました。今、私の目は喜んでいます。手術後の私の覚え書き3/15, 3/23, 3/31, 4/4, 4/16, 6/12, 7/30です。（美智子）

It’s been four months since my cataract surgery. When I wore glasses on hot summer days, my face felt hot. Now my face feels cool and light. I’m so happy! I also wore soft contact lenses when I was younger. I have allergies, and my ophthalmologist told me to throw them away because they were affecting my eyes, so I did. I also tried using daily disposable contact lenses, but they were bothering my eyes so I stopped. I’ve made several glasses. Now my eyes are happy. My notes four months after cataract surgery.
