夫の膝痛、私の腕痛で整形外科を受診する日の前日、飼い犬のヌービーが左後足をかばっているのに気が付きました。人間年をとるとあちこちにきしみが生じるのはしかたがないと言っていたばかりでしたから、えー、ヌービーもぉ！とあきれるやら、おかしいやら。 ヌービーをなでながら「犬だってそうよねー」となぐさめました。人間組は朝８時に受診を済ませ、ヌービーは午後３時半の予約となりました。

Here’s a shot from a whale watch adventure that we went on outside of Anaeho’omalu Bay in Waikoloa. The whales were so active and got so close, not only to us but to everyone else playing in the ocean.

どうやったら　そのように　もつれることが　できるのですか？

雪が消えると隠れ蓑がなくなってしまうと同じで、家の周りを見回すとなにか物足りない箇所に気がつきます。道路に面した郵便受けの後ろの地面がその一つです。植木鉢でも置こうかとなったのですが、それを聞いたルーク君は、ウイスキー樽をすすめました。ルーク君は大工好きの大学生で、うちの車庫を工具場にして棚やらデスクやらを作っているのですが、我々がウイスキー樽を知らない事にむしろ驚いていました。ともあれ、園芸店でウイスキー樽を買いましたが、車の荷物入れを占領するほどの大きさ。　幸い、言い出した手前と、ルーク君が土をいれ水を運び上げて、花植えの準備をしてくれ助かりました。この先2日ほどは気温が下がるとの事ですが、日曜日には植物を物色する予定です。
