先の「和歌の漢訳」の欄で「かかりことば」との語を書きましたが、あれは枕詞と掛詞がごっちゃになった結果で、私の浅学さが吐露されお恥ずかしい限りです。きちんと広辞苑をひいてみました。 「枕詞」修辞法のひとつ。特定の語の上にかかって修飾または口調を整えるのに用いる言葉。例「あしひきの」「ひさかたの」「しらぬいの」等。あしひきは「山」に、ひさかたは「天、空、日、月、雲」等に、しらぬいは「筑紫」にかかる。 「掛詞」同音異義を利用して一語に２つ以上の意味を持たせたもの。例「まつ」松と待つ。「秋の野に人まつ虫の声すなり」 とありますから、安倍仲麿の和歌の出だしの語「天の原」は「枕詞」でも「掛詞」でもないことになります。それでも漢訳されると「天の原」の語は消えてしまったことは事実で、私の言いたかった事はそのことです。
