古いものを片付けているとカメラの他にこの葉書も出てきました。当時、京都市立芸術大学（京都芸大、京芸）音楽学部ヴァイオリン科の学生でした。たまにお遊びで詩を書くこともありました。私の詩と少しイラストも描いて送ると、やなせさんからお返事をいただきました。音楽にしても、詩にしても、絵にしても、心の扉を叩くものは、誰のものでもない「私の言葉」ということだとぼくは思います、といった内容です。
Many decades ago, I was a student of the music department of Kyoto City University of Arts. At that time, I was writing poems as a hobby. One time, I wrote and sent my poem with illustration to Mr. Takashi Yanase and he kindly responded. I still have his postcard.

お小遣いを貯めて買ってよく使ったカメラです。
修学旅行や遠足など遊びに行く時に持って行きました。

I was cleaning up the closet and I found this camera. I bought it when I was an elementary school student, and I used it a lot.

ひよこ豆はサムさんの好物です。
I bought chickpeas in Kamakura the other day, and I gave it to Sam-san. Chickpea is his favorite food.

事務所借り在宅勤務の逆をいく
じむしょ かり ざいたく きんむ の ぎゃく を いく
As we all know, we had to take many unexpected ways to cope with the inconvenience resulting from the corona virus infection. Those who worked in offices where many people congregated were prohibited from going there. Instead, they continued to work from home (WFH). People who work in the fields of social media, e-commerce, insurance and such can do their work anywhere using computers. They are said to be happy for spending much less money for fuel. Now, you see a lot of empty buildings in town.
Early October, we decided to rent an office to do the accounting work, since Norman said that he has been too busy to do it. The office is in the same building as Norman’s office. It goes without saying that the owners of the building are very pleased, as this is opposite of the current trend of WFH.
コロナ禍の発生によりあらゆる分野で予想外の手段を取らざるを得なくなったのはご承知の通りです。ことに、ウイルスの感染拡大防止のため、多数の人が集まるオフィスに行くのは禁止となり、代わりに自宅で仕事する、いわゆる在宅勤務（WFH:work from home)の形態となったのもその一つです。ソーシャルメディア関係、オンライン商業、保険といった仕事は元来コンピューター処理のよるものが多く、それらの仕事をする人達にとっては仕事の内容は同じで、場所がかわっただけで、むしろ通勤に使う燃料費の節約になったと喜ばれたようです。その結果、無入居者のビルが増えています。
10月初旬、ノーマンのクリニックの仕事の忙しさが増し、経理に時間を割いていられないとのことなので、同じ建物内に経理が別にできる事務所を借り週に1日出勤することにしました。建物の所有者が喜んだのは勿論です。なにしろ、コロナ禍で生まれた在宅勤務形態の逆を行くことになりますから。
