Since the day before yesterday, people have been excited about the Olympics in France. I’m taking a nap in a French resort chair I bought a week ago. It makes me sleepy as soon as I sit on it. I’m in a dream world. (Michiko)
I bought a stylish tumbler so I can drink cold water frequently even when visiting the grave. It feels like an excursion. For lunch, I went to Miyanaga-san’s cafe, Day dream Believer. Yoko-san’s son, Keisuke-san is the chef patissier. Lunch with a drink and salad costs 1000 yen. And when I order lunch, I get 100 yen off on all cakes. The cakes are also delicious. The seats are comfortable and the food is nutritious. It’s a nearby summer resort. When I return home, I take a nap in a resort chair. (Michiko)
It’s a nearby summer resort. Which means this is my compact resort for practicing the violin at a karaoke room. I collected points so I got free takoyaki. I practiced Bach’s Chaconne today.(Michiko)
It’s very hot every day in Japan. I wanted to see a beautiful and cool landscape. I took this photo while walking around my neighborhood when I was living in Honolulu. (Michiko)
I always take the Sotetsu Line to get my hip rehabilitation, and I’ve been watching the construction from the train window. I received an invitation to the pre-opening ahead of the grand opening on the 25th, so I invited Baba-san to come along and check it out. We enjoyed shopping, eating, and chatting. (Michiko)
I took this photo when I lived in Honolulu. Each bus stop has a large roof that provided shade. Here in Fujisawa-city, I often take the bus. It’s very hot now. The only thing I can rely on at the bus stop on the road is a parasol. The bus stops have no roofs, and there are no large trees nearby to provide shade. In both Hawaii and Kyoto, I often saw trees being maintained for both the beauty of the landscape and safety. It’s hard to believe, but Fujisawa is cutting down trees after failing to regularly inspect them and provide proper maintenance. (Photo by Michiko at a bus stop in Honolulu)
The rainy season is over and summer is in full swing. Before visiting the grave, I had lunch at Miyanaga-san’s cafe. In the photo with Yoko-san and I, there are two black cats with humorous expressions in the middle. These cats were made by Yoko-san from sweaters of her late husband. Both of our husbands passed away in June two years ago. We met at the same cemetery and became good friends. I also made a promise to do a mini violin concert at the cafe. After spending a pleasant time eating and chatting, I went to visit the grave in high spirits. (Michiko)
