初秋の風のささやくお墓参り。ミシェル ルグランの「風のささやき」の曲が心に流れてきました。ヴァイオリンやピアノでひとりで弾いて楽しめる曲の一つです。（美智子）
I visited the grave. The wind of early autumn is whispering nicely today. The song “The windmills Of Your Mind” by Michel Legrand came to my mind. This is one of the songs I enjoy by playing alone on the violin or piano. (Michiko)

粗大ゴミ インターネットに救われし
そだいごみ インターネットに すくわれし
A SO-DAI GOMI, or a “coarse, bulky waste”, is a word expressing retired males who had nothing to do at home and became a nuisance to other family members. The derogatory word was widely used before the internet became popular. Now, they can hold a cell-phone in their palms, appearing to be doing something. In addition, they can learn everything through social media what is happening in the world. However, they are still ” SO-DAI GOMI.”
退職したご主人がする事もなく一日中ゴロゴロしている様子を、「粗大ゴミ」と表したのは、インターネットが一般に普及する以前のことで、今やスマホを片手に持てば何かをしているようであり、その上、ソーシャルメディアを通して、２４時間、世界中の出来事を居ながらにして知る時代になりました。それでもやっぱり、「粗大ゴミ」である事には変わらないようで。

ノーマン ケリーさんは医師を引退しました。ヨーコさんのハイクポエム、画家でもあるノーマンさんは自画像を描きました。ナコスファミリーの報告です。（美智子編集長）
この夏は猛暑のせいで良いこともありました。整形外科のリハビリで習った体操を自主トレしました。股関節の疼痛が軽減したことを9月１0日に記録として書きました。筋肉がついてきました。
左足着地の際に股関節に痛みのこない角度を模索中です。
理学療法士さんがリハビリの前に私の歩行姿勢をチェックします。私は重心の移動を慎重に考えながら歩いてみせました。痛みなく体重が左の足裏に移りました。
理学療法士 「なかなか前に進まないね。考え過ぎ！」
私 「はいっ！」
まだ身についていないのです。月面への新たな一歩のように楽しいプロセス。

フクロウは知恵の象徴。秋のフクロウはせっせと餌を捕獲して冬眠に備えるそうです。まだ残暑が厳しいですが、今日は太陽が隠れて秋の始まりを感じます。フクロウのように外に出る機会をもっと増やしていきます。（美智子）
Owls are symbols of wisdom. In the fall, owls busily catch food to prepare for hibernation. It’s still hot but the sun is hidden today, and I can feel the beginning of autumn. I will try to get more opportunities to go outside like an owl. (Michiko)

キショール パルさんが車で川崎市から藤沢市まで迎えに来てくださりお家に遊びに行ってきました。キショールさんとカコリさんが心を込めて作ったバングラデシュの家庭料理をいただきました。長女のスレヤちゃんはピアノを楽しみ始めました。次女のジャヤちゃんも明るく元気いっぱいです。楽しいひと時を過ごしました。（美智子）
Kishore-san came to Fujisawa to pick me up by his car from Kawasaki, and we went to their home. I enjoyed Bangladeshi home cooking that Kishore-san and Kakoli-san had prepared with love. Their eldest daughter, Sureya-chan has started to enjoy playing the piano. Their second daughter, Jaya-chan is also bright and full of energy. We had a wonderful time. (Michiko)
ミニバドミントンです。羽根に紐をつけて鴨居からぶら下げました。
片手で止まらずに１００回打ちっぱなしに成功。（美智子）
I play mini badminton at home. I attached a string to the badminton birdie and hung it from the Kamoi. I hit it 100 times with one hand without stopping. (Michiko)

My summer was ok. All I did was work. I had to take some time off because Max is very old and got sick and couldn’t walk and had trouble breathing. But the Vet was able to help him with antibiotics and other medication. But he did lose his hearing and his legs are very very weak. But he has gotta much better recently. Here are some picture I took this summer. (Barry Harmon)
まあまあ良い夏でしたが仕事は忙しかったです。マックスは高齢で病気になり、歩けなくなり呼吸困難になったので、しばらく休みを取らなければなりませんでした。獣医さんが抗生物質やその他の薬で助けることが出来ました。マックスは聴力を失い足はとても弱くなりましたが、最近はかなり良くなっています。今年の夏に撮った写真です。(Japanese by Michiko)
