美味しいカレーシューを作りました。天国の夫が「不思議な味やなー」と言いました。豚肉、人参、じゃがいも、さつまいも、玉ねぎ、キャベツ、しょうが、ガーリック黒胡椒、一味、こども用カレーパウダー、ブルーベリージャム。寒い日の栄養チャージ１００点よ！（美智子）

I made delicious curry stew. I heard my husband in heaven say, “It has a mysterious taste.” Pork, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, cabbage, ginger, garlic black pepper, chili pepper, children’s curry powder, blueberry jam. This is a 100% nutritional boost for cold days. (Michiko)

藤沢有隣堂のヤマハドラムレッスン２０回目。今年の３月からドラムを習い始めて、新しいものから得る感覚を楽しんでいます。（ヴァイオリン弾き　美智子）

This is my 20th Yamaha drum lesson at Fujisawa Yurindo. I started learning the drums in March of this year, and I’m enjoying the new sensations I get from learning something new. (Violinist Michiko)

今日、蝉丸さんのところへ行った帰り道、リサイクルショップに立ち寄りました。高齢のご夫婦が仲睦まじく営んでいる様子のご近所さん「リサイクル ナナ」。ナナは亡くなった愛犬の名前だそうです。三味線のバチを見つけました。２００円。ドアストッパーに丁度良いと思って買いました。ほんと、ピッタリでした！（美智子）

Today, on my way back from visiting Semimaru-san, I stopped by a recycle shop. It’s called “Recycle Nana,” and it seems to be run by a happy elderly couple. Apparently, Nana is the name of their beloved dog who passed away. I found a shamisen stick for 200 yen. I bought it because I thought it would make a good door stopper. It really is the perfect fit! ご近所さん「和のアンティークの店 蝉丸」のお庭。馬場さんとお茶の時間を楽しみました。クリスマスと新年を迎える雰囲気が清々しいです。（美智子）

This is the garden of my neighbor, “Semimaru, a Japanese antique shop.” I enjoyed a lovely tea time with Baba-san. The atmosphere of welcoming Christmas and the New Year is refreshing. (Michiko)

ハワイでの眼科医の診療記録コピーです。ハワイから日本に移り住む前にコピーを渡してもらいました。１８年前にレーザーで網膜の破れた穴の周囲を焼き付けたのです。

さて、藤沢に移り住んでこのコピーが役立ちました。ご近所さん「善行すずき眼科」にこの資料を渡して定期的に受診しています。去年は白内障の手術を嫌がって先延ばしにしていた私に「急に見えなくなったらどうするんですかっ！」と一喝してくださりやっとのことで手術を決断。有り難いことに良く見えるようになりました。ハワイでの網膜穿孔のレーザー治療から１８年後、来週は薄くなっている部分をレーザーで固めることになりました。（美智子）

These are my medical records from an ophthalmologist in Hawaii. I was given a copy before I moved from Hawaii to Japan. I gave this document to my neighbor, Zengyo Suzuki Eye Clinic, and I go there regularly for appointments. 18 years after the laser treatment for my retinal perforation in Hawaii, next week I’m going to have the thinning area hardened with a laser. 善行のご近所さん「メガネメイト」の田中さんに歳末の抽選券をもらったので、ガラポン抽選会に行ってきました。マクドナルドの５００円券、ティッシュペーパーやお水などたくさんゲットしました。（美智子）

Raffle in front of Zengyo Station. I received a year-end raffle tickets from my neighbor, Tanaka-san who owns an eyeglass shop in Zengyo, so I went to the Garapon raffle. I won a lot of prizes, including a 500 yen McDonald’s coupon, tissues, and water. (Michiko)
