先週末から、ベランダのひまわりの種を食べに来るようになったリスは、手、足、口をこれ以上くっつけようがないといった姿勢で食べます。その食べ方にもちゃんと決まりがあって、手前から始まって皿の右半分を食べると終わり。 他のリスは、いわば、しっちゃかめっちゃか、手当たり次第、いや、口当たり次第に食べて、ひまわりの種の皮を当たり一面に散らしてしまいますが、このリスが食べた後はごみなしといった具合。 その話をノーマンにすると、「そのリスちゃんは O. C. (obsessive compulsive 強迫神経症の事。何事も超きちんとしていなければならない神経症）だ」。そして丸まって食べる様子を見て、漫画をかきました。月夜に浮かれて腹鼓みを打つ狸に似てなくもないのでポンポコちゃんの名前がつきました。
