テーブルセンターやランチョンマットも良いけれど、もうちょっと立体感のあるものを　と、茶托をつくってみました。刺し子模様は、上から右回りに　七宝、桧垣、野分、分銅、七宝変わりです。名前がなかなか粋ですね。布地が貴重であった時代に接ぎをあてあてして、なるべく長く保たせようとした昔の人の工夫から始まった刺し子。そのことを思いながら針をすすめています。

「4月最初の週末は雪が降ります。その前には雷も鳴ります。」とかれこれ一週間も聞かされ、そんなに大変なのかと覚悟をしていたのですが、結局は緑の色を増した芝生をぬらした程度の雪でした。どうやら、早々と出た警告は、春の陽気でボケ気味の市民の気持ちをしめるのが目的だったようです。
