飼い犬に手を噛まれるの記

「ギャー」とまではいきませんでしたが、ヌービーに指を噛まれた時はおもわず「痛あー」。近所中に聞こえたかもしれません。 毎日やっている綱引きの最中で、双方とも力一杯に、注連縄（しめなわ）に似た犬用の綱を引っ張っていたのが、ちょっとずれて、ヌービーの犬歯が私の第４指をムギャ！ ヌービーは私の奇声に驚いて口を開け、指先は爪のお陰で助かりましたが、出血はするは痛いはで、綱引きは中止。ヌービーはいささか怪訝な顔。 翌日、念のため訪れた整形外科医は「２週間ほどで治りますが、歯形は残りますよ」。

母、１０３歳の誕生日

１２月１５日、母は１０３歳の誕生日をむかえました。 私は１０月にハワイの姪の結婚披露宴にいったところですので、 日本帰国は見送りましたが、兄４人は母の元に揃いました。 １５日には示し合わせた時間に電話をし、母とも４人の兄とも話す事が出来ました。 直ぐ上の兄曰く「お母さんは大変元気で、気を抜いたらいかん、と注意された」。 兄からのメールにはもう一つの訓話が書いてありましたので、抜き書きしてみました。 気を抜かないで、毎日やるべき事はちゃんとやること。 書を書くときは、全体のバランスをよく考えてから、しっかり書くこと。 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　毛利義子（１０３歳）

Lost in translation 赤鼻のトナカイの名はルドルフさ あかばなの　トナカイのなは　ルドルフさ 陽子 The red-nosed reindeer Really has a name: It’s Rudolph! クリスマスが近づくとよく聞く歌のひとつに　〜〜〜のトナカイさんは〜〜〜　があります、英語の歌の文句では「Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer]とトナカイにはルドルフというちゃんとした名前があるのですが、日本語の歌では名無しになっています。Lost in translationとはまさにこのことです。
