I currently have two friends who are visiting from the mainland.  These friends I have not seen for some time now.  We all worked together but had mutual friends.  They speak Japanese fluently and english is their first language.  They are brothers who are 2nd generation from Japan.  Their friendship is invaluable to me they not only taught me some of the useful Japanese phrases I use today, they are just great fun being around.  Yesterday we decided to go golf it’s something we all have in common and love doing, plus I can beat the older brother Takashi from time to time.  The younger brother Jason was a junior golfer and has a great golf game.  I have absolutly no chance at beating him just yet I think next time we golf I’m going to have to injure him, nah just kidding.  I’m hoping that in the time that they have here in Hawaii we’ll have a great time just doing whatever.  Right now with the new girlfriend and me trying to save money for my dream home it’s becoming more and more unlikly.  I will be trying to practice my Japanese with them to see if they can help me understand from a native english speaking stand point.

喉頭摘出した患者さんが、人工喉頭を使ってお話ができるようになりました。オペ後、ずっと筆談でコミュニケーションをとっていたので、声が出せるようになったという感覚がすごく嬉しそう。他の患者さんも「おう、今のは聞き取れた！　聞く側も耳慣れしていかんとな！」と励ましていました。まだまだ聞き取りにくいですが、言語聴覚士さんの指導の下頑張って練習しています。

うれしいなぁ。がんばれ！

I recently went to dinner with my girlfriend and her mother. Her mother really wanted to try Wasabi and Nadaman. I had already tried this restaurant and loved my first experience. Although this time I did not order ala carte as I did before, I conformed with everyone else. So Risa and her mother had a Kaiseki which looked delicious I had a similar set menu. The experience and flavors were as you can imagine beautiful. The restaurant itself is located in the heart of Kapahulu which in itself can make the atmospere feel loud and uncomfortable. But the restaurants design is quite nice it has a beautiful fountain display to block out any unwanted sounds, and tranquil music that calms the mood for the dinners. Sorry I got sidetracked back to the food. The flavors were unbelievable so much was going on without taking away anything from the food. The flavors were there and nothing overly powered anything else. Every dish complementing each other so perfectly. Although portion size is rather small I understand that this is how the meal is for Japanese dining. Our whole service was done in Japanese with a host in a Kimono. This was a new experience for me and one I will never forget.

テレビ番組で、「感動的な絶景の花畑」をやってて、
北海道の東藻琴芝桜公園が紹介された。
ピンク色の芝桜が一面に咲いていて、すごくきれい。
ホンマに行って見たいと思った。いつか行こうと思います。

「時をかける少女」の余韻が未だ残っている私です（笑）

その影響で、主題歌歌ってる「奥華子」さんも気になってるわけです。ビックリするくらい透き通った歌声で、「ガーネット」って曲が、また、私のツボにピッタリ入るわけで…＜(￣□￣＊)　こんなアーティストさんがいたんや〜、全然知らんかった。ＣＤほしいな。あ、私は見れないけど、来週土曜（7/19）にテレビでやるみたい〜。暇な方は見てみてくださ〜いな。

This is my goddaughter! Isn’t she just adorable? She has a little attitude about her but its what makes her cute. Thats her father in the background. He’s one of my closest friend.

This is the view we saw on 4th of July! I had to work but came back to my friends condo! Man that view from his condo is so beautiful. I dont think a picture can do this view justice. I’ll be sending a little more pics using different angles.

本日で、前期組織学実習が終わりました。
昼間からずっと顕微鏡をのぞいてスケッチする組織学実習は、
正直苦痛だったので、本当にうれしいです。
解剖実習、組織学実習が終わってテストに専念できそうです。　頑張ります。
