いつも書いているように、我が家に残しているものは小さなものだけです。それでも、少しずつ整理をしています。これは宮沢賢治さんの版画。夫 修三が持っていたものです。グーグルで調べると、この詩は詩碑として岩手県花巻市若葉町３ ぎんどろ公園に１９５０年（昭和２５年）に建立されているそうです。（美智子）

As I always write, all that remains in my home are small things. But I am gradually sorting through them. This is a print by Kenji Miyazawa. It belonged to my husband Shuzo. Miyazawa Kenji was a Japanese novelist and poet (1896 – 1933). I searched on Google, I found that a monument commemorating this poem was erected in 1950 (Showa 25) at Gindoro Park, Wakaba-cho 3, Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. (Michiko)

宮永さんのカフェでのミニライブ計画。とりあえず１回目はミニメロディーを選んでいます。「二人でお茶を」「いそしぎ」「魅惑のワルツ」。曜子さんも好きだと良いですね。ゆっくり楽しく相談していきます。今日はお墓参りに行きます。曜子さんに会えるかな。（美智子）

Yoko-san and I are planning a mini live at Miyanaga-san’s cafe. For now, I’ve chosen mini melodies for the first one. “Tea for Two”, “The Shadow of Your Smile” and “Fascination”. I hope Yoko-san likes them too. We will take our time and discuss. Today I’m going to visit the grave. I wonder if I’ll be able to meet Yoko-san. (Michiko)

1年前に白内障の手術を受けました。メガネをかける必要はありません。このフレームは４０年前に購入しレンズを何度も交換しながら長年愛用しています。軽くて丈夫。一度も壊れたことがありません。気に入っているので度なしサングラスにしました。（美智子）

I had cataract surgery a year ago. I don’t need to wear glasses anymore. I bought these frames 40 years ago and have been using them for a long time, replacing the lenses many times. They are light and durable. They have never broken. I like them so I got non-prescription sunglasses. (Michiko)

和服の帯と帯締めがリュックとポシェットになりました。愛用している赤いリュックと黒いポシェットを持って行って同じように作ってもらいました。藤沢の陽洋という仕立て屋さん。丁寧な仕上がりです。（美智子）

The obi and obijime of a kimono were made into a backpack and a pochette. I took my favorite red backpack and black pochette and had them made in the same way. The tailor is Yoyo in Fujisawa. They finished them up nicely. (Michiko)

霊園の緑が新鮮です。私達のお墓は「アジサイ」という区画です。夫 修三はアジサイが美しく咲き誇る六月に天国に旅立ちました。今日はたくさんのアジサイの蕾を見ました。（美智子）

The greenery of the cemetery is fresh. Our grave is in a section called “Hydrangea.” My husband Shuzo passed away in June when the hydrangeas were in full bloom. Today I saw many hydrangea buds. (Michiko)

５０年前、私は、やなせたかしさんの「詩とメルヘン」という雑誌を読んで、共感するものがありファンレターを出しました。すぐにお返事をいただきました。４年前に古い手紙を整理しているとまだ手元にあったので投稿しましたが、今、「あんぱん」というテレビドラマになっているそうなので再度。（美智子）

Fifty years ago, I read “Poetry and Fairy Tales” magazine by picture book author Yanase Takashi-san, and I found it relatable, so I sent him a fan letter. I received a reply right away. Four years ago, I was sorting through some old letters and found the postcard in my hand, so I posted it on my blog, but I’ve heard that Yanase-san’s work has been made into a TV drama called “Anpan,” so I’m posting it again.
