蒸し暑い雨のお天気。お昼前に雨が上がりました。宮永さんのカフェで豚の生姜焼きランチでスタミナをつけてお墓参りに向かいました。途中、藤沢駅サンパールでインド刺繍リボンのきれいなヘアバンドを見つけて２つ購入。お墓には海の風景を飾りました。美しい天の海で泳いでね!（美智子） It was humid and rainy, but the rain stopped just before noon. 私のヴァイオリンの弓です。この2本を約50年間使っています。制作されて100年以上のもの。特別に高価な楽器を所有している有名演奏家は別として、弦楽器演奏や指導に携わっている人は、所有楽器の銘柄や値段を表立って話題にすることはありません。ましてや弓のことを一般会話ですることはまずありません。しかし皆さん弓もそれなりに高価なものを使っているのです。お好きな方は弓を何本も所有しているそうです。私は持っているものを長く大切に使います。（美智子） These are my violin bows. 変形性股関節症があるので、週に一度、整形外科でのリハビリに通っています。理学療法士さんに習って自宅でも自主トレをしています。動き過ぎに注意、過負荷に注意ですが、部屋を涼しくして音楽を聴きながらのゆるい自主トレです。（美智子撮影　ホノルルのこんがらがった木） I have osteoarthritis of the hip, so I go to an orthopedic clinic once a week for rehabilitation. 外は暑いです。夏の青い海を見たいけれど泳ぎたくありません。 涼しい部屋でヴァイオリンの波を書道で書いて泳ぎました。（美智子） It’s hot outside. I want to see the blue summer sea but I don’t want to swim. So I wrote violin waves and swam in Japanese calligraphy in a cool room. (Michiko) ナコス湘南

最近も親しくなったお友達が、私の活動発信を見て、ナコス(NACOS)の名前のことを聞いてくださいます。興味を持ってくださる方の為に、昨年１０月にも書きましたが、改めて書き添えます。 中村修三＆美智子がハワイ州オアフ島ホノルルで１９８９年に創立し２５年間運営。クラス、インターネット、ハワイの広い地域での仲間との連携、さまざまな形で、日本語と英語のことばを学びたい方々をサポートするコミュニケーションセンターを運営してきました。 ハワイでは設立以来、新聞、雑誌、ラジオ、そして、ウェブ上で、日本語学習、英語学習に関する記事、エッセイなどの連載、また、ラジオ番組としてラジオ英語講座などを実施してきました。 名前は以下の英語フレーズの頭文字。日本語ではナコス語学研修所。ロゴは私達が希望のイメージを言ってイギリスのデザイナーに作ってもらいました。日本に拠点を移して形を変えながらもポリシーは大切に国内外の友人とのコミュニケーションを楽しんでいます。２０２４年、３５周年を迎えます。 NACOS International InstituteNetwork for Advancing Communication & Organization Skills Sometimes new friends ask me what NACOS stands for.
