多くの男性にとって、１１月は、「ノーシェーブノーベンバー」として知られています。これは、一ヶ月間、続くイベントです。参加者は、丸一ヶ月、髭を剃りません。このイベントには、男性も女性も参加します。男性は、あごひげを剃ることを控え、女性は、脇の下や足のムダ毛の処理を控えます。イベントの狙いは、前立腺癌をはじめ、男性がかかる癌、そして、健康について注意を喚起することです。私も、一カ月間、ヒゲ剃りなしで行こうと考えていました。しかし、貫徹することはできませんでした。私の場合、１４日間だけ続けました。そして、断念しました。あごひげのむず痒さが耐え難くなったからでした。多分、来年、もう一度、挑戦してみる積もりです。
