ヘルパーさんが来てくれることになりました。昨日はスーパーの重い買い物とお風呂掃除を頑張ってくれました。週に一度お世話になります。この坂の街を歩けなくなったらどこかへ引っ越そうかと考えたこともありますが、私を大切に思ってくださる人たちが増えていている今、まだまだ自分の発想で、坂の街で楽しく暮らす年月は続きます。（美智子）

A home helper has begun coming to assist me. Yesterday, she kindly took care of some heavy grocery shopping and cleaned the bathroom. She will be helping me once a week. There were times when I wondered if I should move away once I could no longer walk around this hilly town. But now, with more and more people who truly care for me, I look forward to many more years of living happily in this hilly town—continuing to find my own creative ways to enjoy life here. (Michiko)
