seven faces all frown

旨くても七面鳥は渋い顔
うまくても　しちめんちょう は　しぶい かお

Thanksgiving is a special holiday for giving thanks in America. Turkey is usually eaten on this occasion. Turkey tastes terrific but the poor birds must sacrifice for this event. Since the Japanese think of turkeys as having seven faces, I can imagine all of them frowning as Thanksgiving approaches. Thank you turkeys for helping us all to give thanks.


　アメリカで感謝祭は、全ての祖先に感謝を捧げる特別な祭日です。この時、私達は、いつも七面鳥を食べます。七面鳥は、非常に美味しい鳥ですが、この気の毒な鳥は、感謝祭の行事の為に犠牲にならなければなりません。日本人は七面鳥を、顔が七つある鳥と考えているようなので、私は、感謝祭が近付いてくると、七面鳥の七つの顔が、全部、しかめっ面をしているように思えます。私達が祖先に感謝を捧げる為に、七面鳥が犠牲になります。謝ります！
