　病院でネットが出来なくなったので、定期的にネカフェにきて情報収集。お昼に来るとランチが安くで食べれるし、ドリンク飲み放題だし、心地よい。いっぱい食べて、いっぱい飲んだ後、近くのお風呂に行きサウナで汗を流す。これが近頃の休日の過ごし方。

Learning Japanese

夜明けの様子

昨日の準夜勤が終わったのは、今日の朝４時半。
いろいろありすぎて大変でしたぁ。
 
病棟エレベーターのボタンを押して、横を向くと、窓の向こうはもう青みがかってきてる。
「夜が明けるまで仕事長引いたか…。」 とショックを受ける。
 
でもまぁ、夜明けの瞬間に立ち会えるのはなかなかいい気分なのでヨシとしましょう。
 
寮まで車でおよそ１５分。
その間にどんどん明るくなっていきました。
 
すずめの「チュンチュン」って声が響いてます。
まだこんな時間なのに仕事のため車運転してる人がたくさんいました。 Continue reading →

O’ahu/Maui

Gas prices on Maui have risen to $3.76 when I left on Wednesday.  Thankfully, my job, home, church, dr., bank, etc. is within 10 minutes of each other.  However, going to play a gig can take up to an hour and 20 minutes or so of driving one way!  Going to Kahului can take 20-25 minutes, of course it depends on how fast I drive! 

O’ahu on the other hand still has gas prices at $3.26 or so, I think, maybe a little higher today.  BUT, the TRAFFIC is horrendous! It can take 30 minutes to get out of Ewa Beach on Fort Weaver Road…just to get to the freeway!   Thankfully, my brother showed me the short cut.

バージニアの物

仕事の旅行の時に、同僚と私は贈り物をさがしました。同僚の友人が言うには、バージニアのピーナツとハムがゆうめいですので、私達の家族のために、ピーナツを買いました。でも、私はひこうきでハムを持って来たくない。：]

急変対応

今日は準夜勤。
日勤で、ＩＣＵ から上がってきた患者さん。
気管内挿管してたけど、本日抜管して上がってきた。
すると、準夜勤帯で呼吸状態が悪化し、急遽再び気管内挿管することに。
 
日勤で残ってた先輩方が機敏に動く中、私はテンパり、何をしていいやら分からんくなって、無駄に動いてました。
同期の子も機敏に準備をしている。

自分まだまだだと自覚させられる。。。

ただヘコむだけやったら、次もただヘコむんだろう。
次は、今日周りが動いてたように私も動けるようにするぞ。 Continue reading →

きれいに座ることができない

仕事場でほとんど同僚達は私を見ることができません。それは良かった！いすにふさわしく座ることができません。そわそわして、時々、片方の足の上に座ったり、いすに正座したりします。変ですね！だから、ぜったいマネージャーになりません。：D

 

It’s a good thing I have a cubicle at work — I can’t sit nicely in my chair.  I keep moving around and sitting on one leg or kneeling… I hope people don’t think I’m a weirdo!  This is why I’ll never become a manager.  :>
