Yesterday, while I was looking for something, an album caught my eye so I stopped searching and started looking at the album. It was 2:00 a.m. and, although it was deep in the night, my sleepiness vanished and I became wide awake. I have a lot of pictures from the time I just graduated from high school up to my current 4th year in college.

In the old pictures everyone, including myself, had childish faces. There are people who have changed their images completely, with their hairstyles and now stylish makeup, from those faces that were chubbier than they are now. As they grow older, women are constantly polishing themselves and becoming cute. I wonder if this is because they are in love. I deeply felt that each and every one of us has changed. And, quite frankly, the thought came to me that I, myself, am unexpectedly changing. Continue reading →

私debleが作るカレーは取り敢えずたくさんの「隠し味」を入れる。

たまねぎペーストにはじまり、ローリエで肉の臭みを取るのはもちろん、

ブイヤベース、パプリカ、ターメリック、ケチャップ、しょうゆ、

お好み焼きソース、ヨーグルト、ワイン、日本酒、ミルク、

そして仕上げはチョコレート！

うーむ軽く１０種類以上は何かを入れているな。。

これだけ混入させても、味が崩れずにむしろルゥのみで作るよりも

おいしくできるのが不思議だ。。

This is a story that happened around when I started kindergarten (when I was four years old).

The toilet in my house was a Japanese-style toilet from which the waste was collected. Every day, wearing adult slippers, I would straddle the toilet hole which was too big for a child. However, ever since I could remember, toilets were like this, so it never occurred to me that it was dangerous.

One day, my foot slipped, and I fell into the toilet! I grabbed the edge of the toilet just in the nick of time and didn’t fall down the hole, but I couldn’t do anything beyond that. I was completely surprised and so scared, and I burst into tears. "Mommy! Mommy! Waaa, waaaa…" I desparately cried. I always cried when even one fly was in the bathroom and I would call for my mother to kill it, so my mother probably thought that this was the case and didn’t show her face. She said from the next room, "Don’t worry about a bug. Hurry up!" "It’s not that! It’s not a bug! Waaa!" Realizing that something was different this time, my mother came into the bathroom. As soon as she saw me, she panicked and grabbed me, saving me. At that moment, the slipper that I had been trying not to let fall fell down the hole. My mother was saying, "Are you okay?" I kept crying and yelled, "The slipper fell. Waaaa!" I was worried more about the slipper than I was about myself. Continue reading →

■2004/04/06 (火)

今日は入学式。平成16年度の幕開けである。

それと同時にdebleも無事4回生。

入学式ということは新１回生が入ってくるということで。

例年にもれずサークル紹介でハーモニーの曲を発表。

新入生の反応はまあまあというところ。去年よりはいいかな？

今年は4回生なのであまりサークル活動はできないが、

新入生にもぜひハーモニーに入ってほしい！

そしてよく遊び勉強もがんばれ！

It’s only been about a week since I moved into my new apartment and the nights are full of loneliness. When I moved, my parents and older brother helped me.

It also happened to be my brother’s birthday, so my family went out to eat together for the first time in a long while.

During that time, my mother was telling stories about when we were children. When my brother was still in kindergarten, my mother made Calpis for us. We drank it greedily. When he had drank it dry, it must not have been enough, so he took the Calpis out of the refrigerator by himself and poured it into a cup-just the syrup… By the time my mother realized this, it was too late. My brother felt sick and was vomiting and crying at the same time. My brother didn’t know that you have to dilute Calpis with water before you drink it. To this day, my brother does not like Calpis. ■2004/04/05 (月)

今日は満月。

満月の夜にしかオープンしないという尾道でも有名でミステリアスな

「梟の館」に行った。

場所は千光寺から下に少し下ったところ。古い民家を改造したということで、

入り口も民家の時代そのまま。庭には館を作った人の猫や梟の置き物が。

店内に入ると、たちまち大人の雰囲気。そして庭に咲く満開の夜桜。

はぁ～っと思わずため息。ワインは苦かったけど桜はめちゃきれい。

そして空には満月。なるほど、完全予約制にするのも納得できる。

尾道のもうひとつのディープな一面。尾道好きの方にはぜひ行っていただきたい！

■2004/04/03 (土)

今日で球職30氏の滞在は終了。

午前中に久々のキャッチボールをし、途中でえぐっちも少しだけ合流！

そのあと昼に竹原で「山御家」を食う。相変わらずのうまさ！

30氏とは昼過ぎに別れ、竹原からの帰りにその足で学校へ。

所属するハーモニー部での校歌＆サークル紹介での発表曲の練習。

うまくハモれるととてもうれしい。この喜びを是非新入生にも！！

■2004/04/02 (金)


今日は球職30氏とうちの連れ合いをと共に彼の大好きな町尾道へ。

市内でもとても有名な海近くの尾通ラーメンの店2つを昼飯にハシゴする。

「津多藤」と「酒科塩」であったが、deble的には前者の勝利！

どちらも基本的にはうまいので後はその人の好みかも。

その後お決まりの千光寺で桜満開を楽しみながら下へおりる。

そして締めくくりは「空沢」でクリームぜんざいをデザートに。

うっ、食いすぎて「うｐっ」となる。。
