At the top of the Tokyo Municipal Government First Building, there is an observation deck.  On the observation deck, there’s a cafe, a souvenir shop, interactive displays, and best of all, it’s free.  You can see the city in all directions.  Tokyo is so big, I couldn’t see the edge of the city. Imagine all the people living in such an area.  So many different lives.  I bet all the stories ever written are being acted out there.  There’s heroes, villians, angels, and monsters.  Each of them knowingly and unknowinglyafftecting each other and the city itself.

Tokyo Municipal Government First Building, Northern and Southern Observatories

These huge observatories are on the 45th floor of the two towers (Northern and Southern). Café NORTH in the Northern observatory is a good stop for a break.

東京ストーリー（展望台）

　東京都庁舎第一ビルの最上階には展望台があります。展望台には、コーヒーショップ、土産物店、展示場がありました。そして何よりもよいことは、入場無料だということです。展望台からは、東京の町を３６０度、見渡すことができます。しかし、東京は非常に大きいので、町の端を見ることは出来ませんでした。こんな所にみんな住んでいるのです。そこには、いろいろな人生があります。きっと、すでに書かれた全てのストーリが、そこで演じられているのでしょう。そこには、英雄、悪役、天使や化け物たちがいます。この東京の町自体も含めて、それぞれは、知ろうが知るまいが、お互いに影響し合っているのです。

とうきょうストーリー（てんぼうだい）

　とうきょう とちょう しゃ だいいち ビル の さいじょう かい には てんぼうだい があります。てんぼうだい には、コーヒー ショップ、みやげものてん、てんじじょう が あり ました。そして なにより も よいこと は、にゅうじょう むりょう だと いう こと です。てんぼうだい から は、とうきょう の まち を ３６０ど、みわたす こと が できます。しかし、とうきょうは ひじょうに おおきい ので、まち の はし を みること は できません でした。こんな ところ に みんなすんで いる のです。そこには、いろいろな じんせいが あります。きっと、すでに かかれた すべて の ストーリ が そこで、えんじられて いる のでしょう。そこには、えいゆう、あくやく、てんし や ばけものたち が います。この とうきょう の まち じたい も ふくめて、それぞれ は、しろう が しるまい が、おたがい に えいきょう しあって いる のです。
