This is the first time I’ve shown it to you. It’s one of the toys I play with alone at my home resort, mini badminton. The allergy medicine I got at Ishikawa Clinic yesterday is working, and the allergic symptoms around my eyes have improved. There is something happy happening every day. (Michiko)
During the the hot days, I tried to avoid going out as much as possible. When I was at home, I did some gentle muscle training every day. I also tried cooking some vegetables that I don’t usually eat. Yesterday, I reported to my orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist that “self-training has reduced the pain,” and they were happy to hear that. Today, I reported everything to my family physician, Ishikawa-san. He praised me for my weight and blood pressure. One thing, my allergy symptoms appeared for some reason this summer. I agreed with his advice that I’d better to avoid foods that I’m not used to eating. (Michiko)
One of my goals in my daily life is to “create new, personal, good habits every day.” Little inventions and experiments. Hesitation, Decision. Repeating all of these. Creating my own style is joyful. Part of the learning life under the roof that I want to continue for the rest of my life. (The photo is of Michiko 45 years ago)
Today I went to the hair salon. After that, I stopped by the store where I bought a mini backpack a week ago and showed my backpack to the salesperson and enjoyed taking photos. My husband in heaven laughed and said, “Miko turns things into fun and play.” (Michiko)
My wife and I have been living in our current apartment for a bout 6 years. When we first moved in we had a driveway with two parking spots for cars and a fairly wide aisle to our side door and a small backyard. It was completely empty of any plants and over the next 6 years my wife has been very slowly raising plants, vegetables and even a banana and papaya tree! Now it is a very lush garden. Since we only have one car half of the driveway is now a garden. The landlord has not been here since we moved in so I wonder what he will think?
It’s September from today. A typhoon has been slowly approaching since last week, so I’ve been spending the time at home. This old photo was taken when I was a university student (graduated from the Kyoto City University of Arts, Music Department ), and one day I decided to go to the temple by myself. A photographer I didn’t know approached me and asked if he could take picture of me. That was the only time I ever spoke to him or met him. Later, he sent me two large photos, each about 20cm x 28cm. This photo gives me a feeling of early autumn. (Michiko)
