Fujita-san operates the “NPO Kaguya” in my neighborhood. They are selling Christmas decorations that the Kaguya members have made with love. We chatted and took a photo. And then I visited the grave. At the cemetery, I was greeted by the snow-capped Mt. Fuji. (Michiko)

After receiving flowers from Semimaru-san’s garden, Baba-san came to my home for tea. I showed her my Christmas decorations. I’m singing Non ho l’eta (Dreaming Thoughts) by Gigliola Cinquetti. My new hobby is planning to enter a karaoke contest next year. (Michiko)

What’s the weather like today? Tomorrow? Next week? I check the weekly weather forecast and decide when to go out. I write down a reasonable schedule in my planner depending on the weather and have fun. Outside is outside and inside is inside, and daily mini discoveries make the heart shine. (Michiko)

秋から冬空の佇まい。お部屋のミニアレンジをしました。今年も私が縫ったクリスマスツリーを出して壁に飾りました。ハワイから日本に持ち帰ったミニオーナメントを付けています。秋から冬へのひと区切り。働いていなくても私なりに大切なお仕事が色々あります。（ヴァイオリンを弾く遊民 美智子）
These are winter decorations. From autumn to the winter sky. I did a small arrangement in the room. I took out the Christmas tree that I sewed and put it on the wall. I attached mini ornaments that I brought back from Hawaii. It’s a turning point from autumn to winter. I enjoy my important work. (Michiko)

ハワイに住んでいた時に、日本演奏連盟の事務局にご紹介頂いて、それ以来お世話になっている府中市にある腕の良い弦楽器工房さんです。楽器と弓のメンテナンスをお願いしています。
毎年、年賀状と暑中見舞いのお葉書をいただいてきました。この夏、珍しくお葉書が届かなくて何となく心配していました。最近ある筋から、ご病気との旨。お元気になってください。お祈りしています。また工房にお伺いします。よろしくお願いします。この写真は２０１９年に撮ったものです。（中村美智子）

カメハメハ王朝直系最後の王女パウアヒが１４０年前にお墓という建物に入るまでの人生は、大きな志に満ちたものだったという。それはパウアヒの生まれもった資質とともに、ニューヨークから来たチャールズ・ビショップとの結婚生活の象徴でもあったようです。彼女は魅力的で人々に愛されました。
これはカメハメハ・スクールに保管されているパウアヒ王女のピアノです。友人のイオラニさんがカメハメハ・スクールでオーケストラを教えていた関係で、パウアヒ王女のお部屋を見せていただく機会があり、その時にこの写真を撮りました。（美智子）
This is Princess Pauahi’s piano, which is kept at Kamehameha Schools. My friend Iolani taught orchestra at Kamehameha Schools, so I had the opportunity to see Princess Pauahi’s room, and I took this photo of the piano. (Michiko)
