生い茂るダイヤモンドヘッド冬景色

I think that one of the biggest signs that winter is now here is how Diamond Head goes from a very dry brown color to a beautiful green color because of the rain. In the winter here there is much more rain during the day than in the other seasons and it especially rains at night as the north winds bring in the rain after sunset. To really appreciate this one must live here at least a year to see the subtle changes the mark the changing of the seasons.

私にとって、ハワイに冬がやって来たことがわかる自然の大きな合図の一つは、ダイヤモンドヘッドの色の変化です。ダイヤモンドヘッドは大雨のお陰で、とても乾いている茶色から綺麗な緑色になります。ここの冬は昼の間は他の季節より雨量が増えます。日没後は北風のお陰で特に夜間に雨がよく降ります。これを本当に味わうには、少なくともここに一年間くらい住んで、季節の移り変わりを示す微妙な変化を見ると良いでしょう。
