ハワイに住んでいた時に、日本演奏連盟の事務局にご紹介頂いて、それ以来お世話になっている府中市にある腕の良い弦楽器工房さんです。楽器と弓のメンテナンスをお願いしています。 毎年、年賀状と暑中見舞いのお葉書をいただいてきました。この夏、珍しくお葉書が届かなくて何となく心配していました。最近ある筋から、ご病気との旨。お元気になってください。お祈りしています。また工房にお伺いします。よろしくお願いします。この写真は２０１９年に撮ったものです。（中村美智子） (Photo taken by Shuzo Nakamura 2019)

カメハメハ王朝直系最後の王女パウアヒが１４０年前にお墓という建物に入るまでの人生は、大きな志に満ちたものだったという。それはパウアヒの生まれもった資質とともに、ニューヨークから来たチャールズ・ビショップとの結婚生活の象徴でもあったようです。彼女は魅力的で人々に愛されました。 これはカメハメハ・スクールに保管されているパウアヒ王女のピアノです。友人のイオラニさんがカメハメハ・スクールでオーケストラを教えていた関係で、パウアヒ王女のお部屋を見せていただく機会があり、その時にこの写真を撮りました。（美智子） This is Princess Pauahi’s piano, which is kept at Kamehameha Schools.
