２０２２年６月１０日に病室で主人にプレゼントした絵です。舌が喉の奥で丸くなるのを防ぐために「あっかんべー」と舌を出すリハビリをしていることを看護師さんから聞きました。私はこの絵を描いてベッドの主人に顔を近付けて「これを見て舌の体操をしてね」と手渡しました。

主人は絵をしっかり握りしめ目を輝かせて「ええなあええなあ。最高や最高や」と最高の笑顔で喜んでくれました。翌日、６月１１日の夜、静かに天国に旅立っていきました。絵は棺に入れました。私は主人の心の輝きをプレゼントしてもらいました。（最後の最高のプレゼントの思い出　中村修三 美智子）

One year ago, I drew this picture and gave it to my husband for rehabilitation to prevent his tongue from curling up in the back of his throat. He grasped my painting tightly with shining eyes on his bed at a hospital. ”This is great, great!”, he repeated with his best smile. I received the brilliance of my husband’s heart as a gift.
