I was so happy to know that I would get to see current pictures of my old store in Hadano but at the same time was sad because I knew that I would be very homesick for that time and place that has always had a very special place in my life. It was such a wonderful experience living and working in Hadano and yet unfortunately it had to end. Seeing those pictures brought such wonderful memories back to me but at the same time left me with a longing to go back to that time but I remember the old saying “You can never go home again”. This is so true to me because I know that I can never experience that again.

　昔、秦野でダイビングの店を開いていたのですが、その店の今の姿を写真で見ることが出来ると知った時、興奮しました。秦野は、私の人生にとって常に特別の場所であり、当時のことや風景を思い巡らす時、懐かしさが込み上げてくるのでした。秦野に住み、仕事をしたことは最高の経験でした。しかし残念なことに、アメリカに戻る為、店を閉めなくてはいけませんでした。写真を見た時、色々な記憶がよみがえりました。そして、昔に戻りたくなりました。しかし、”You can never go home again “と云う古い格言を思い出しました。再び家に戻ることは出来ません。私にとって、これは本当のことです。あの時と同じ経験は二度と出来ません。

建物は、秦野駅から３分位の所にありました。
当時、ジムさんは仕事が終わると、いつもビルの裏で、
ダイビングの道具を洗って干していたそうです。
