I visited the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines. The fair has lots of food and games as well as live farm animals　I especially enjoy going to see the award winning biggest bull. This year’s bull weighs about 3000 pounds. One woman stood right behind the bull to take a picture of this enormous animal. Unfortunately, the bull suddenly had diarrhea which ruined the woman’s dress. Never stand behind a bull or risk becoming a target. In English, a target is called a “bull’s eye.”

　アイオワ州の州都デモインで開催されたアイオワ・ステート・フェアに行ってきました。このお祭りでは、畜産物や農産物はもちろん、たくさんの食べ物、そして、ゲームが用意されます。私は、品評会で一等賞を獲得した雄牛を見に行くことが、特に楽しみでした。今年の雄牛は、約１．４トンでした。一人の女性が、写真を撮るために、この巨大な雄牛のすぐ後ろに立っていました。そして、不運なことに、巨大な雄牛は、突然、下痢をして、その女性の服を汚してしまいました。ちなみに、私はその雄牛を横から撮影しました。牛のすぐ後ろに立ってはいけません。そうでなければ、牛の下痢の標的になります。ところで、標的のことを、英語で、「雄牛の目」といいます。
