二胡の音で心を繋ぐハーモニー
にこ の ね で　こころ を つなぐ　はーもにー

I attended an event at school called the Global Gala. The idea was to celebrate the different cultures of the many international students. The daughter of an American that had lived in China played an instrument called the Erhu. This instrument has two strings. She played two songs beautifully. Everyone listened and the way the strings vibrated in harmony together was like the many cultures coming together.

　私は、大学で、グローバル・ガラというイベントに参加しました。このイベントの狙いは、色々な国の学生達の文化を互いに尊重するというものです。以前、中国に住んでいた米国人家族のお嬢さんが、二胡という楽器を弾きました。この楽器は、弦が二本あります。彼女は、二つの曲を美しく奏でました。みんな聴き入りました。二本の弦が、互いに響き合い、調和して、あたかも、色々な文化が一体になっていくかのようでした。

日本と中国に興味を持っているベンさんは、
ミネソタ州で、新たに大学に戻り、大学院では、
国際的なイベントにも積極的に参加しています。
この日は二胡の演奏を楽しみ、Haiku Poemになりました。
