お初です今日が最後の閻魔様

　鎌倉にある円応寺に行きました。今まで、絵図は見たことはありますが、彫像は、初めてでした。薄暗い十王堂に入り、閻魔大王を中心にした十王像に取り囲まれると、まさに十人の裁判官から厳しい取り調べを受けている気分になりました。

I went to the Ennoji Temple in Kamakura. Until then, I had seen the pictures, but it was my first time to actually see the carved statues. I entered the dim hall of ten kings and was surrounded by the ten statues of the great, judge kings. Certainly, I felt as if I was being strictly interrogated by the great kings!
